Rant: I mentioned it before, but this is why I think Asahi is the worst part of the new arc. She was raised and is a slave of the remnants of the Yaminobu, the group that tried to kill Kenshin in the flashback arc, she was also loaned as a servant to Shishio's group, and so she was involved with the remnants of Shishio's group that was looking for the Mugen Jin; and as you'll see later, the Yaminobu is involved with the Senkaku Heiki, so she's connected to them as well! She's part of everything! We're lucky she's not a former Oniwabanshu, too, and part of Raijuta's little rebellion. And all of this when she's still rather young? Was she a baby when she was serving Shishio?
