Aizen needs preparation for his hypnosis. He needs so show his sword to his opponent while saying it’s name ... and probably wait a few seconds ( look at Baraggan). He can‘t do the process if his opponent knows what‘s going to happen, Ichigo could just look away.

He was building Ichigo up as a midboss to give him a last push of growth before his assault on the royal realm. There'd be no point in that if Ichigo's senses were under his control.
