There's definitely some real stinkers from the 90s though (mostly cheap ova's) that are pretty bad, but i do agree, some shows today take things way too seriously(ex: rpg mechanics in various isekai's being taken straight and serious when it should be comedic, even dragon pink knew better on how to handle it).

Yeah, Kitton, and the witch girl you posted, doesn't do anything but complain that she's hungry. The little dragon and the giant dude are also wasted potential, they almost never do anything useful. I think the author wanted to assemble a typical RPG party for the sake of it.
