Why did jr lose so badly?
Jobbing
Did you not read/watch the fight they say it pretty clearly why he lost he wasn't willing to put his life on the line he was all talk
I could type out several paragraphs about the lessons being taught in the arc and where ali went wrong with his mentality towards martial arts, but the reality is itagaki really just wanted to wrap things up quick and didn't want to write a full fight most likely.
Not like if it changed something. Baki fought hundreds of different fighters while that nigger is just some shitty gym grown fighter.
dude like come on there is no lesson. Ali jr was a punching bag for no reason. Even his fricking father tricked him into fighting him with broken arms and legs to beat him and stroke his ego.
so the whole point of that arc is to show the growth of baki's menatality, than he his mentally now ready to challenge his father and that he is willing to throw away his life in order to persue that. ali jr is a direct parrelel to baki in the way that he goes though similar lessons as he learns about the underground fighting. but when he prepares to fight baki he does not learn from those lessons and takes things in the wrong way. he thinks it is best to fight without being killed and isn't willing to really put his life on the line. which is why he is mentally not a true fighter and loses. its all to show that baki is now fully on the same mentality as some of the strongest fighters and he's no longer just a kid who can fight
Baki's been fighting giant gorillas since he was like 15. Jr. never had a chance.
yet ali jr provoked jack even though he had lost already and jack could easily kill him. Also gouki and doppo were asses to him for no reason. They threw their first matches against ali and when they were mad they lost they fought him injured. I agree ali jr didn't put his life on the line like baki but all the characters, including his dad were asses to him. Only jack gave him a lesson
ITT people that are used to nu-shonens like boku ni pico no cuckdemia or black clover are having mental break down by the fact some shitty overhyped antagonist ends up being nothing more, but a mere tool for showing classic mcs growth
Doppo explained to him he could walk away, but Ali Jr. decided to stay and fight. He always had the chance to walk away from their world or stay as a fighter. In the end, he was not capable to be one of them.
Doppo and shibukawa didn't threw their matchs. They were just salty from their loss and came back for a easy and cathartic revenge.
Doppo shown several time he has no problem beating someone already down and shibukawa is a assassin which nickname is literally "the devil" what did you expected from them ? They would be the main villains in other mangas these psychos roam the street and provoc fights just for the pleasure of beating the shit out of someone and the representative of the japanese governements flat out say killing is always on the back of their mind
Ali Jr. did not understood.
I think they just beat him up to show him that Baki is too much for him, he lose to Jack-the 2nd strongest of the Maximum Tournament and immediately want to challenge the number 1 right after, that's literally suicide
Remember that time Doppo brutally murdered a man on screen like the guy was a piece of shit but the way Doppo did it to a guy he could have just beat witha punch was monsterous
Will we ever see Family arc animated?
>Baki is like me! I've never been to a gym or trained so my natural genetic makes me an ultimate fighter!
You look kind of fat and worthless in your profile pic
imagine caring about this hack fucking series. It doesn't even use any real fighting or martial arts, its basically DBZ without flying and energy attacks. Its fucking retarded.
Dude you even trying with this bait? I swear you guys are grtting lazy
Why are you mad? Is that because I struck a nerve? FYI I'm attending gym since 2006 at least twice a week.
If you want realistic fighting, you can just go on Youtube or something and watch real people fighting instead of reading a manga. It's that easy
>itagaki really just wanted to wrap things up quick and didn't want to write a full fight most likely.
Sounds pretty much spot on.
pic would be better if that guy was ripped af just from genetics but still didn't give a crap about muh fight
For fuck's sake, pick a character in Baki, if they're not Yujiro they jobbed horrifically at some point, yet you only see these fucking questions about Ali jr ever since the anime came out because the fucking normie burgers saw a black guy and latched onto him like fucking leeches.
>OMG MUHAMMAD ALI AND YUJIRO RESPECTS HIM
>OMG HE HAS A SON WHO'S EVEN BETTER
>NOOOOO WHY IS HE NOT BEATING EVERYONE AND KEKING BAKI LIKE IN MY BURGER SHOWS AAAAAHHH PLEASE JACK-SAMA DON'T STOMP ANYMORE
He's a fucking goof who was only put there to get squashed by the real fighters, the whole sequence starting with Jack beating all kinds of shit out of him is the funniest shit Itagaki's written and i always go back and reread it. Oliva is a HUNDRED times better and more likable character. Ali is based too. And yes, Doppo and Shibukawa are absolutely notorious for fucking around and not taking shit seriously right off the bat, had he fought Retsu or Hanayama he would have been raped in his first fight, like what happened with Jack, who is also knows for always being serious. Ali jr was put there to show that if you don't have psycho combat junkie mentality like even the jobbers like Kato do, if you're not ready to have a sniper shoot at you while you're sleeping and still call it a fair fight, you can never be truly strong. Now fuck off.
Yeah, i can't buy a Hanma not being ripped.
man, i'm such a sucker for seemingly lazy and/or joke characters that are actually incredibly strong. imagine a hanma or other dude in baki that was born the most talented ever, could wreck any other guy without training a single day, but just wanted to stream and play vidya all the time. would be pretty stupid and silly but i'd love it regardless.
and even yujiro has jobbed to nets tranq darts and doors
Not to mention his dad and memetobe.
I'm just glad he tried to give Kozue the BBC.
>Hanma Yusuke, the strongest salaryman.
I'm glad Baki send him back to the plantation for trying.
