Whats the appeal?

Im on episode 4 and considering dropping.
Is there any consistency when it comes to those Mushi?
I mean every episode feels like asspull. And by asspull i mean there is no consistency. First there is Mushi that fucks with someones ears, then one that creates horns then one that makes your dreams come true. Whats the point?
Are those 4 episodes that I watched supposed to be good or writing makes more sense later on? Explain

It has a chill atmosphere.
It shows how mushishi can interact with humans.

It's one of the most simple anime out there, retard. There's nothing to explain about it.

It gets better in season 2. It's an episodic series. Think of it like the twilight zone. There is consistency but don't expect most of the stories to be connected or an overarching narrative.

Best OP out of literally any anime in existence.

I watched it before bed, never had such good sleep in my life.

>shonenshitter tries to watch Mushishi
Yikes.

>It's one of the most simple anime out there
Is that the appeal? I mean i watched 4 eps and it didnt stimulate my almonds at all let alone my clitoris.
Why should i care about a 20 min story about side characters while main character has 0 development?
This is just basic shit(and bad), why its rated so highly?

maybe battleshonen is more your speed

>why its rated so highly?
because is a masterpiece

The mushi have variations. I don't know why this makes you dislike the series. There's not just one mushi, the term mushi applies to all kinds of similar "beings" that cause issues with humanity. I only read the manga but I assume the anime is basically the same. It won't get any different iirc. Each episode has a new mushi that has to be dealt with. My problem with it was more that, while I get that Ginko is a professional at dealing with mushi it just seemed like the majority of the episodes were Ginko immediately knowing which mushi it was and how to counteract it. This doesn't happen in every episode but that cycle kind of annoyed me.

Disliking episodic series is the mark of a pleb.

it's not really simple. There are individual episodes that have more depth than entire shows. It just doesn't have an overarching narrative.

I watched slower series that are actually good.
I dont like that it doesnt make me use my brain, there is almost no consistency to their behaviour, MC solves the mystery while viewer just watches. So whats the point if there is no overreaching plot, no character development and it doesnt make my brain go hmm?? Just stories about randos i dont care about.

go back to watching battle shounens retard

>Why are Mushi these fictional beings not like real life, wtf!
Why do you retards that only watch new anime feel the need for everything to be wholly based on real life. The character writing is some of the greatest in anime despite not being reliant on reoccurring ones or plot points, the atmosphere is relaxing with brilliant music and animation as well as a world that treads beneath the surface minutely enough that it makes you interested in what more it could have to offer. It has one of the most simple premises you could possibly grasp and falls heavily in line with what iyashikei is. If you're not enjoying it then it and the iyashikei genre is not for you

>Ginko immediately knowing which mushi it was and how to counteract it
Ginko is like Dr. House but with Yokais.

This.

I love when fucking retards get filtered by Space Dandy or Kekkai Sensen.

It's pretty bad, but not for any of the reasons you think it is.

>Whats the point?
Reflecting on different aspects of human life but you need to have an IQ of at least 60 to do that.

The point is filtering you.

just drop it and stay in school boy, you need to be 18+ to access Zig Forums

>asspull
Lol. I don't know if it would be more possible to miss the point. The show is about a system of fictional folklore. It's not about "defeating" the Mushishi or something. Mushishi just are.

>I watched slower series that are actually good
Such as? I am genuinely curious.

Kekkai Sensen sucked tho

>I watched slower series that are actually good
Jesus Christ you are just lying. I got three “slower” anime in mind and I bet you won’t name them in your response.

Why does the MC need to develop?

Stupidity is a mushi and you got it hard.

Because that’s what his high school teacher is teaching him.

You write like you actually might be retarded, so maybe this really isnt up to your speed. Not saying mushishi is deep or super complex, but goddamn.

It's not supposed to be about solving mysteries lmao
it's a bunch of stories about human hearts, but you sound like the kind of person who goes on the internet to debate, so it makes sense that you wouldn't understand emotions

>and it doesnt make my brain go hmm
wow, it literally went over your head. There's so much to reflect about in Mushishi. So, so much.

the anime makes the basic assumption that its audience has compassion for people other than themselves
