Becaus Yuuko was a dumb annoying retard

>Why did Nichijou flop?

Far heavier competition at the time Nichijou premiered

I liked the tsukkomi routine Mai and Yuuko had going. Sasahara had some good moments. Professor and Nano were mostly a waste of time.
I may rewatch occassionally.

First off, while it reportedly had poor blu ray sales no one know if it "flopped"; For years after the show was aired on various tv channels all over East Asia in the kids afternoon timeslots on TV, so they likely made quite a bit of money off of that.

As for why the blu-rays/dvd's didn't sell:

1) it aired right after the 2011 earthquake & tsunami.

2) Kadokawa went full Jew and only put 2 episodes per disk, which meant collectors would have to buy 13 disks @ ~$90USD a pop.

3) My personal opinion is that there is a 'Lucky Star line" wherein the character designs used in Lucky Star are basically the least sexualized you can make female character designs and still have them sell big. The Nichijou characters were below that line (not even a hint of breasts or curves).

This really is an outrageous practice, I'd drop $30-$40 bucks in a blu-ray to support a show I liked but top zozzle if they think I'm dropping a fucking STACK for ONE season of a show.

nichibros crossover with nichijou when?
WHEN?

it was too japanese even for the japanese

expensive BDs and the earthquake of 2011.
Still with the re-release it sold over 6K

The way they shake their hips in the OP got me hard though.

Not many people like surrealist humor.
Fewer people get surrealist humor to appreciate it.

Because you touch yourself at night.

Fanart doesn't count.

see, the third one seems kinda off to me
but really, I think the big answer is that fucking no one was fucking paying those prices for this show
even by aggressively high nip BD pricing standards, that's a fucking rip

Which nichijou would you flop?

No matter how much you shill it it will still be boring unfunny garbage

the professor did kinda suck
glad she got way less screen time in the latter half
