By a landslide. I wasn't even going to start it thanks to that travesty, but it's such a different change of pace, that it's hard to associate with. Not saying this manga doesn't have flaws. It's a bit too unbelievable and edgy, but not so much that the story isn't engaging. I'm mostly in it to see how far the rabbit hole goes.

See, with those other "hyper-misery porn" manga, I always get the feeling the author is using it to work through their own issues. Boy's Abyss feels like a story that just HAPPENS to be kinda depressing, but I think it's gonna have a happy ending. Not, like, a perfect fairytale ending, but Rei will succeed, even if it costs him dearly.
