So is playing the videogames the only way to find out who all of these characters are? I know this franchise is 20 years old, but every adaptation assumes you already know who everyone is, so none of them are introductory to the series.

That's why I'm storytiming this one, it only covers the games from 6 to 9 with their respective spinoffs and literature, so there is not so much to dig in

It's not like the games are good at introducing characters either. All interaction with enemy characters are just shit talking eachother for a minute then start shooting.
