Samurai 8 started with infodumps and did little worldbuilding, assuming the characters (and therefore the readers) already knew the glossary of terms, when nobody did and got confused. It was also visually confusing to look at, with everything constantly shapeshifting and made of clay.

Edens Zero both takes the time to explain each term to the characters and the readers, and is visually appealing and easy to look at. It's amusing how Mashima was reluctant to be lewd in Rave Master, slowly became more lewd in Fairy Tail, and then lewd from the getgo here in Edens Zero, completely unabashed about it.

Let me rephrase then. Kid becomes a cyborg samurai and sets out to find his destiny, meets a master, friends, and a waifu, as well as his master's first disciple who wants his soul so he can unlock the god-cube and become god-king of the universe. Kid and friends fight the bad guy, kid achieves a god state to beat the villain, then dies and his waifu inherits his sword.

This series got canned. What else do you want me to say about it? It's not very well liked for a reason.
