Last time: Having sampled the last true Century Soup, Komatsu set himself to the grueling task of trial-and-error-recreating the legendary broth. Meanwhile, Torika endures a torturous recovery to regrow his arm.
>Tommyrod has to reserve half his strength to keeping the Parasite Emperor from being born >During his fight with Toriko he only expended HALF his total strength while Toriko got the shit beaten out of him Fucking hell

You know what? Toriko really revels in the completion of a story arc. I like that quite a bit. Most series move straight into the next arc without much pause, but Toriko takes a chapter or two for the celebration. Really drives home the satisfaction the characters feel, and the gravity of their feats.
toriko may get some stupid powerlevel scaling bullshit, but i really do appreciate how it always feels like the heroes are never the single strongest characters, and even lose quite often
I never thought about it before, but it makes sense that Jirou was the one to seal the Hellboros away when he first got Setsuno the century soup 100 years ago.
