I'm 70 chapters into this after all the shilling over the years and honestly it's been a fucking chore so far. Does it stop being painfully generic when they get together? Does the nature of the manga change, the character dynamics, anything? Because so far it's literally haremshit #752934 with extra "wacky" shit that's not even funny most of the time.

I liked it early on but it got worse for me the longer it went on. Maybe just drop it.

imagine being filtered by the best romcom out there

Literally yes. The manga truly shines when the haremshit is dropped.
Harem girls deal with the loss in different ways.
Side characters get their own relevant arcs.
New characters get introduced and aren't a waste of time or space.

"Filtered" is a term for when a particular subject or content in a series puts people off even though the actual quality is high. In this case the manga is just bad, period. The genre and subject are irrelevant to this.

I'll see. But so far this author hasn't inspired any confidence in me that he can write anything notable.

They never really get together. Even when they start living together they are 5 feet apart.

I can deal with that, it's honestly typical for the genre, as long as the actual character interactions and the situations become at least somewhat more creative. So far, superficial layer of animu randumb shit makes it seem like it's this wacky off-the-wall comedy but the actual beats are very cookie-cutter and if you've seen any of the classic comedies in this style then there's nothing this one particularly excels at in comparison. Wacky character #1 does their one-note routine based on their character trait, wackies #2-5 or whoever is there respond with their own pre-made bits while the non-character MC just stands there panicking or fretting or going "ahhhh this is bad...!" until the teacher comes in and makes a scary face to the horn girl and then the chapter ends.

Does the comedy still operate at this level later on?

Yes. Though only the comedy. The series actually takes a change for a more serious mood in the final quarter.
But its plagued by a complete lack of character development. The few chapters that do try to do backstories, always fall short of explaining their current personality and position.

Nothing ever makes sense, and there are very few satisfying moments. The ending is not one of them.

What manga are you reading?

You're getting bullshitted hard. The writing is shit throughout it's just that anything that isn't "we're finally a couple after 200 chapters of blueballing, the end" makes romcom shitters cream their pants because their standards are just that low.

If you didn't love it by the burguers chapter, it ain't for you, senpai

>Author makes a manga that deals with how hard is to stay afloat in the manga industry and how few actually make do by making manga
>Gets axed
The pottery would be laughable, if I didn't like Hachi so fucking much

the only correct answer in this thread.

I'm still surprised it ever got approved. Impressionable kids thinking being a mangaka is cool or fun is the lifeblood of the industry, if they stop sacrificing so much to try get a break the publisher's are in for a much harder time scouting talent.

>im 1000 chapters into something when does it get good?
It fucking doesn't. It's always more of the same even if it can get marginally better in some areas or have a revealing story twist or some shit.

It's not that I disagree but people sing the praises for JWWW all the fucking time and it's usually related to "the couple getting together". Of course it could just be what said, or it could also be that people seriously like the comedy and stuff like that (though I'd find it hard to believe for someone who isn't inexperienced with the medium/genre).

Oh, sure, Shueisha wouldn't run it, not without watering it down the overall message.
It would have been Bakuman 2.0

When does Logh get good?

But this isn’t Toradora.

Toradora is pretty mediocre too. And watching it today makes it feel so outdated it's painful.

I refuse to rewatch it, it's perfect where it is in my brain

Oh... You’re one of THOSE.

>thread shitting on generic haremshit romcom with bad humor and tropes infesting the romance
>I know, I'll mention Toradora!
You reap what you sow

A shame they don't jerk off over the actually good ones that work with that concept.

>Terrible taste. Put the subject in the name

I very much enjoyed it but if you don't like it so far you aren't going to.

>I'm 70 chapters into this after all the shilling over the years and honestly it's been a fucking chore so far.
If you dont like it then dont force yourself to read it. For me JWW is the best romcom out there but everybody has differente tastes. Yours is shit though

ok fucker if the ending of Jitsu wa is not satisfying to you then give me some romcoms with an actual proper satisfying ending. Because i need that shit right now considering how many romcoms end like shit...

fucking kek. I love this face every god damn time the russian rulette came on.

Sorry you didn't like it user. It's not gonna change, so if you aren't on board now you probably won't enjoy the rest. I hope you find something you like better.

So how did this end? I dropped it after chapter 85. *spoiler*Did they fuck?*spoiler*

Toradoea transcends the genre, there is a reason to this day Zig Forums loves and respects it.
You don't have to be a contrarian faggot

In a sense, yes.

They did, Youko was preggers by the end (Due to bloodsucking)
