Trash but actually OP skill

>MANA
what's the worst kind of isekai cheat

What's wrong with mana?

skill stealing by far. MC kills a single cockroach and gets bajillion passive skills

magic is an abomination.

I wished there was a manga about this but
>Get skills from enemies
>Get stronger , "typical" isekai guild sees you as some kind of "hero"
>But it turn's out every single skill you steal from a monster slowly changes your body turning you into some kind of horrible monster that will be the next "big evil" in that world.
But I know Japan would fuck it up by letting the MC use a shapeshift skill.

/r/ sauce for that messiah guy manga

>trash but actually OP skill
This one because it's in konosuba which is the most infuriating of the isekaishit

>Healer hero
>Can absorb memories and skills
>Can change appearance

>slow life
>skill menu
>slave wagon rescue

>gets hit
> +1 in resistance

>does something
>new skill unlocked

let me guess, you like otome isekai

>That infinity guy doesn't understand the infinity symbol.
Well at least his INT isn't as high

>trash but actually OP skill
That can make a series really really good or a descomunal shit.

It's guaranteed shit
Mangaka tries hard to subvert the trope of an OP character but fails hard and ends up with the same story.

Every. Single. Time

Trash but actually OP skill, they all come with the same concept of thinking just a little outside of the box and it suddenly becomes a do all godly ability and even after establishing this concept there's no shortage of people who illogically look down on and shun the MC so he has the chance to prove them wrong.

There's nothing wrong with mana

>Heals reality into killing his enemies
why even bother making the character a healer?

Lmao what isekai?

I wish some isekai healer just gave people tumors.

Video game isekai is some of the worst shit, the people reading it have to be kids or retarded.

>everyone not on MC side is a total douche-bag and irredeemable.
>also, they underestimate MC because REASON.

They know that otherwise the mc wouldbe useless and not cool and they don't want to develop him at all

What is information supposed to do?
It doesn't seem lik a neccessary step into finding the path.

Redo of healer has the MC's heal work as an instant death ability to whatever enemy he touches, it pales in comparison to the MC rewinding time by "healing" the world which starts the series.

Eating things gives you skill and power, on paper it is a great idea but authors fuck up the execution so badly that you wonder why not just make the MC OP from the start. Re:monster, Slime etc. the MC eats a leaf and then gets novella worth of upgrades.
To be fair, I rarely see this done well in fiction, the only time I did was in a vidya

>what's the worst kind of isekai cheat
all of them?
There's so many stories where the MC flaunts over a bunch of chucklefucks while being pretty much more incompetent than in every sense apart from having one or two skills (that they pretty much had no hand in working for anyway).
What's worse is if it's a character that the writer writes as being supposedly intelligent hanging over every word coming out of the MC's mouth.

On another note, does anybody feel a lot of isekai main characters tend to have similar personalities? I'm not talking about the edgelords or the deviants but the ones with a quirky, nice guy personality that give self-aware quips on cliches and are also kind of a pervert. This might be a bit generic but pretty much like the slime isekai

it needs limits, like you can only have a couple skills
or most monsters have the same skills so you very rarely get anything new and you only get level 1 skills

Isn't that more or less the spider isekai?

I see what your saying. I person think that the “self-aware” MC is usually made so that the author doesn’t have to bad about using cliches
>haha look guys a generic angry tsundere, isn’t that so cliche?
>I hope you get used to her, because she’s a permanent character now and she doesn’t get any less generic

Easily "trash but actually OP skill", because the MC just instawins through an asspull everytime, atleast you know there are no stakes with the level 99 guy

I just noticed cheat isekai MC's are just a less cool and thought out version of Soma Cruz from Castlevania
