Who is the smartest anime character?

coffee jelly

Saiki is just grossly op and knows how to make the best use of his powers. He's smart but idk if he belongs on this list

Senku is rebuilding civilization...

Senku did a supercomputer tier mental feat at the start of the manga.

Certainly not one of those faggots.
If we allow hax characters, Akagi, since he has other-worldly powers (see his game vs Soga at the end).
Without any hax, it's Ten.

breaking it all down then it would be the guy from steins gate because there's nobody else with more knowledge where he is at until his death.

You make a good point.
I fixed OP's list.

We should exclude those who are dead.
If they are dead, it means they weren't that smart to begin with.

he's psychic tho so that's not smart is it?

a third of these aren't even comparable to the others. seriously, fucking levi?

actually smart : Chrollo from HxH and Naruto

magically smart bullshit : light yagami/senku/ Lelouch

I bet your ass you'd lose against lelouch in chess after maybe 7 turns kek not smart yeah easily easily user.
>he'd go like blam blam and it would be over

best cpus: guys in the corners
best motherboard, drives, memory: Senky
has a botnet: Saiki

Akagi could outdo Ten without his godly intuition, his tactics are great. I'd put them at the same level.

Why is Takagi on there? She knows her shit when dealing with Nishikata, but otherwise she's the odd one out.

This, but with him instead.

Senku is not really magically smart or whatever, he has a high IQ and have learnt a lot of shit during his live, then experimented to learn more and made a lot of mistakes along the way, which taugh him even more. He still makes mistakes and he can't do a lot of shit, so that's why he has a lot of friends to help him with stuff he doesn't know/can't do.
I sgree with the others tho.

didn't he count for 2000 fucking years?

He's not smart, he just basically has hypnosis

ye, but its not because he has a superpower. hes still a human, but smart enough to tap into people inner thoughts and manipulate them. And dont forget he started an underground money laundering empire at 15

every isekai mc has 80000000 IQ

Yeah, but that's my point, it's basically treated as a superpower, he just does it offscreen because "he's so smart he can manipulate thought" and so on. To be fair the scene with the drunken detective was top tier and proof of real manipulation a smart character would do, but what he does offscreen is basically "it works, don't question it". It's ok, that's his role after all, but I wouldn't really put him among the "smartest" characters.

Uruhara is the easy answer if we determine smartness by the ammount of knowledge they possess. Nobody on this list even comes close to understanding multiple planes of existence and being able to create artificial life.

Depends on how they died. Death can be an amazing tool to achieve one's goals.

Counting and being super good at arithmetic isn't magic or anything, a friend i used to have was a friggn human calculator, but he wasn't very smart. Some people are just good at those kinds of things.

One of the things i like about dr stone is that none of what's presented there is some crazy magic bullshit technobabble, but things that an average engineer is very likely to know. With a dash of shonen manga sparkles, but the idea still holds.

>Counting and being super good at arithmetic isn't magic or anything
Counting for 2000 years is retarded. Counting for even one day without breaks is already far-fetched.

fair enough, but by that logic pretty much any "smart" anime character isn't smart, but omnipotent. Lelouch is a perfect example yet people still use him as a benchmark

>Levi
>smart character
What?

Not really, you could see characters like Akiyama from Liar Game making long reasoning and explaining how and why they'll take advantage of X or Y. This lets you assess their intelligence in a different way than "wow this guy's got 250 IQ!" bullshit like Shikamaru does espite never making that great of a plan. In the case of characters like Johan it's ok because it serves a narrative purpose, but wanking characters' intelligence like Light (who got caught with an untraceable remote weapon and the help of supernatural beings) can be bad

someone post that "smart characters" pic

You cannot handle his IQ
