You need to be blind, deaf and dumb to have missed the amount of pissing and moaning during Farm Arc when the battle shōnen spergs were shidding their pants because not enough fighting was happening to satisfy their infantile tastes. Especially during the first half.

Nearly every thread people dropped it because of his edgy chuuni thoughts on yamada in the earlier chapters. They kept asking if it gets better.

To be honest, the entire first 100 chapters or so are a pleb filter. The beginning of this series is so incredibly cliched and boring in retrospect. I am not even sure why I trudged on regardless when I first read it but wew, am I ever glad that I did. Easily in my all-time top 10.

But even so, when recommending it to people I say that only around 200 chapters in (i.e. with the Coalition Invasion Arc) it comes into its own and becomes epic.
