Should Steins;Gate have ended on episode 22?

Should Steins;Gate have ended on episode 22?

God no. Okabe's ultimate triumph made for a perfect ending.

>Muh cautionary tale
>Muh happy ending can't be a masterpiece
Kys

Okabe overcoming the seemingly inevitable in his thankless struggle against fate makes for such a greater story than your typical cautionary tale bs.

Steins Gate had a perfect happy ending , that was at the same time cautionary and still completely well deserved. I think this is the perfect example of a well written scenario where the protagonist has to make a huge gamble to pull something great off , and not just make it a generic asspull. It's a perfect ending.

>future is set in stone bro, muh destiny
Literally who wants this when watching an anime about time travel?

No, retard. The best parts of the show happen in the last two episodes. MUH SAD ENDING fags are so fucking annoying

Seriously. The romance is a core part of the show; fuck anyone who wanted more tragic ending nonsense.

Zero was so shit I never even watched the anime.

Sure, if you're a postmodernist faggot that thinks entertainment can't be art if it's enjoyable.

"put the genie back in the bottle" endings are so unsatisfying. if everything was just gonna be reverted back the status quo its might as well have all been a dream

>reverted back the status quo
Brainlet alert.

Just play the VN and don't be overly friendly with Kurisu and there you go.

Was this one of the all time greatest VA performances in anime ?

What do you think postmodern means?
Postmodernists are the ones who think there's no, or at least a very very blurred, line between entertainment and art. A postmodern artist may not necessarily think this but may instead use elements of low art in high art or vice versa, for example Pynchon including references to comic books and TV in Gravity's Rainbow, or Madoka being Faust with mahou shoujo, or minimalist music. Calling any anime or TV show in general or video game or work of popular music art is postmodern you fucking moron, stop parroting words you heard from pjw and Shapiro and read a book

If you're an idiot then yes

It ended in the best way possible.

I'm sure a lot of people didn't enjoy Steins gate 0 but I actually really liked the ending.

its just re:zero for boomers

based

It feels weird to see anons start to call Steins;Gate boomer anime.

Wtf

This.

The story should have ended with Okarin and Christina having a child, thus showing for good S;G was a different timeline, since they never had a child in either Alpha or Beta.

With a bonus H-OVA showing it happen.

No, in VN, by Nitro+ and Mages, for the canon factor.

That would also be acceptable.

I still haven't seen re:zero but I love Stines;Gate I know you were makeing fun but is there really any good points shared between the shows that isn't "uhhh there is time travel"

main character suffering a lot

About to start watching this, what am I in for?

the bit that everyone cares about is the mc failing again and again no matter how many times he goes back in time and tries again
