They are pretty fucking bland, but as boring as Deku is he isn't the worst protag I've seen in anime/manga. That trophy goes to Subaru for me, he's so bad he's caused people to straight up drop his show, and most people hate his personality and how dumb he is. Worst villian is probably kaguya because there was no build up or satisfaction from her defeat. I dropped Boruto early on but that protag/villian combo looks terrible, worse than MHA at least and Boruto is disliked as well as a character from what I understand.

borut- ZZzzzZZzzz

>That trophy goes to Subaru for me

Only idiots think this

Crybaby protag and Linkin Park edgelord. How original.

He's unlikable and obsessed with some women, and unlike most protags his attempts to woo her and his sacrifices for her aren't entertaining.

Bakugou and Shigaraki are great

In jail still, gave a copy of his quirk to the hand guy. Hand guy's quirk also "evolved" and can now wipe out cities, and he has some kind of Noumu body that's nearly as strong as OfA and regenerates even without using his quirks. Jury is still out on whether the series is finally picking up the pace or if it has completely jumped the shark

Not him but holy shit I'm glad I dropped it after the Yakuza/gangster shit.

You missed out.
The villains get their own arc, and the pro heroes get a spy thriller sub plot.

Shiggy is a solid 8/10

Shiggy is a great antagonist with badly written moments
Deku is a badly written protagonist with a few great moments.

>The villains get their own arc, and the pro heroes get a spy thriller sub plot.
That sounds terrible.

It is. Here is a summary of the villain arc:
>LoV are poor and homeless
>Get contacted by the doctor that works with AFO and told them they need to earn Machia ( big monster ) respect
>Out of nowhere a super evil organization showed up and kidnapped the LoV informant
>They challenged the league into a fight
>The evil organization has super technology and over 100 thousand followers
>Entire city filled with bad guys vs the league
>The league wins against them all
>Every fight had no choreography and it was basically 'no you'
>Every fight had a flashback right in the middle followed up by a out of nowhere power ups for the league
>Shigaraki quirk went from 5 touch to dust to city buster level due to flashback
>League wins
>The evil organization leader starts sucking Shigarakis cock and gave him all of his assets
>Shigaraki is now "leader" who has money, army, afo, nomu like body and super powered monsters
All of this was in 20 chapters btw.

Genuinely I'm drawing a blank on that. I know they exist but I can't think of them for some reason. What are some series that have this combo?

Deku is a copy of Tsuna, who proved the archetype works. Or at least sells.

Shinji. Followed by Renton.

I feel like there's no connection between them and it's more like "our dads hated each other so I guess we have to hate each other too" which I'm not gonna lie, it's kind of cool

I never understood why AfO cared so much about Shaggy, did he see his potential for destructive power?
What exactly is his problem with SOCIETY?
When Shaggy made some realizations and OfA flipped the fuck out of pride or whatever, wtf was that about?

Do you enjoy pretending to be retarded?

Was it really 20 chapters? Feels even longer desu.

Naruto and Sasuke

Isn't Subaru a car?

Really makes you think

>>Get contacted by the doctor that works with AFO
Is this that Nazi Dr thing that happened a while ago?

Yes

Boruto is worse, Deku isn't a horrible protagonist, his mediocrity is just exemplified by the quality of the show. Shigaraki however is fucking dogshit.

It was terrible and the only villain who got built up and became a character worth giving a shit about got his character development reverted immediately, rendered useless and then died in the latest arc. Also a new villain who was far superior to Shiggy in every way got introduced just to job to him and give him all his money and all his forces 5 minutes later. The only reason the zoomers who like this shit hype it up is because they got an arc that's a 5/10 in a regular shonen but a 9/10 by BNHA standards.

Luffy and all wan piss villains exist

Boruto is just poorly written, that's all there is to it. It completely ignores the lessons taught in Naruto and has boring characters who either do absolutely nothing for the whole series and/or rely on the anime to develop their characters. Seriously, the manga goes from fight to fight, taking no time to explain the characters' motivations, ideals, hobbies, etc.
