Watched 2 episodes and decided to pick up the manga. Dropped the show after that. The Mc is such a pathetic looser that it's hardly bearable. Chizuru despite having barely and development over the whole manga will obviously win, Mamis whole shit gets old really quick, ruka obviously has no chance of winning so they just make her as cute as possible for the inevitable meltdown at the end and sumi is literally just an afterthought of the author that he has to put in some chapters so people don't forget she exists.

My main gripe is I really just can't root for any of the girls to end up with him. They all have too many red flags to really be desirable, as hot as they may be. Mami's a manipulative cunt, Chizuru rents herself out as an emotional whore, Ruka is also a rental and only even likes Kazuya because of her meme heart condition criteria for a guy, etc. Hard to root for Kazuya too, since even as the common loser with a heart of gold trope he's still hard to relate to with how over the top his cringe behavior is.

But I keep watching anyway since seeing where the mess goes is still pretty interesting.

Ruka's frustrating, since her feelings are pretty insincere thanks to her going off her heart condition to gauge her interest in a guy. Yet she's also the easiest choice for Kazuya to get and keep a girlfriend, since she's putting up with all his bullshit despite how bad he treats her while trying to sideline her for Chizuru. If he actually reciprocated her advances and was nice to her it'd be an easy girlfriend acquisition and maybe more genuine feelings would develop. But of course that doesn't generate as much drama, which is the point, so no kidding he doesn't desu.
