I just finished the anime, will watch the movie tomorrow.
Please watch it, I know it's almost 100 episodes and is full of 'wacky misunderstandings' but it's the ultimate comfy anime that has kept me sane during quarantine, It's just so good and comfy.
I'm drunk and on the verge or crying, thinking I hardly have any time left with these characters, please watch it.
This is the second or third thread I've seen about this. Where the fuck were you people 4 years ago when I was watching it? I tried making a thread back then but it died almost instantly.
Brandon Russell
i just want you to know that I respect your vulnerability
Isaac Brown
You convinced me OP, but it will take some time to download 20+GB from 5 seeders.
Noah Hall
If my memory does not fail me, 4 years ago, Zig Forums streamed both this and UY. We also talked about it back in the day.
Ian Scott
maybe your thread inspired some of these people to watch it four years later. I've got shit on my backlog that was reccomended to me over a decade ago I only got around to starting to watch three weeks ago.
I've only consumed Inuyasha and Maison Ikkoku. I love both of them dearly, but they are pretty different from each other. Even with MI's wacky misunderstandings, once you learn who the characters are (see: Kyoko and her tendancy to self-sabotage her own happiness due to her guilt over remarrying, it's a bit easier to forgive.) UI and Ranma are next on my list.
Noah Gonzalez
It's the ultimate cuck story. Imagine wasting all your early 20s pinning for a widow and ultimately being a second-hand replacement for her late husband. Yikes!
Blake Long
Unlike you, wasting your early twenties on Zig Forums.
Also, can it really be considered a waste when he had plenty of opportunities to get with other girls? He won the girl he actually loved in the end. Kyoko also specifically says she wants something new and not a replacement but obviously you didn't even finish the series. Or you're a purity-fag incel in which case, grow up or you'll never be happy.
Blake Perez
Are Japanese people really such spergs that they shout each others names when they're feeling emotional? >KYOKO-SAN! KYOKO-SAN! And it's not just Godai, the tennis instructor does it too in the next episode. You'd think they were piloting kamikaze bombers for how riled up they get over trivial things in this show
Michael Ramirez
Tbh there's a lot in this show I just thought 'must be a cultural thing' (mainly how relationships seems to be pursued, specifically marriage proposals) but the name calling thing just seems to be an anime thing to me. Or a Rumiko thing, lol. INUYASAHAAAAAAA KAGOMEEEEEEEEE I didn't really think twice about it.
Nicholas Hernandez
>jap plebs got filtered so hard by this song it had to be replaced after one episode
Logan Adams
Is that it? I thought it was just a one-off special thing, kek.
I really think they're just all spergs. Whenever they get angry, they literally physically run away from each other and chase each other instead of talking. It's immensely frustrating
Landon Lopez
The show can def be frustrating at times, but don't give up on it. I promise the ending is worth it.
Joseph Foster
The dog is kino, I must admit. And the fashion design is top tier
Noah Jackson
Just read the manga as well.
Benjamin Robinson
Soichiro a best. I'm eagerly awaiting my pre-order of the collector's edition to arrive!
OP is an idiot. It's a romance so it has plotpoints involving misunderstandings, but they're hardly whacky.
Michael Long
The author must be a real muscle fiend, all the men in this show are built like weight lifters. MC wouldn't look to out of place in Dragon Ball with his sleeves rolled up.
holy shit an actual maison ikkoku thread...i miss this series so much. wish the manga-only boy got animated tho all the openings/endings were wonderful, but i prefer cinema and get down even if the latter got replaced after one episode youtube.com/watch?v=RarMGL5bSXs
James Bailey
>doesn't know how to take a screencap >not even remotely a good example You really are a complete moron, Pablo.
Dominic Evans
I post on here from my phone, but I'm watching the show on my TV. Huge hassle to move a screen cap over. And it is a good example, his pecs look like whole roasts
Justin Morgan
I was exaggerating. But there are some frustrating misunderstandings that would be a stretch irl, you have to admit.
Bentley Scott
>And it is a good example, his pecs look like whole roasts Because you're a complete idiot, Pablo.
