Yes. And that's a good thing. Since he's a secondary character pre-timeskip and his POV was kept pretty mysterious post-timeskip to help cover for Isayama's "Eren's mind is the new basement" twist, it's easy to overlook the more interesting or likeable aspects of his character. Just look at how many readers misread him as power-hungry or a glory hound. Honestly, if Gabi had some more enthusiastic characterfags overanalyzing her every appearance in the story and meming their findings, you might come around to liking her too. Maybe.
