Toaru Kagaku no Railgun will soon be concluding its third season, and in stark contrast to season one, this year there is no added fan service. The first season, which aired around a decade ago, was rife with shower scenes, swimsuit filler, and bathhouse OVAs. Railgun T however has been a near-direct adaption of the manga with no eroticism.
Is this a welcome change? Do you feel removing fan service improves the quality of the work by allowing focus on the characters nuances and plot?
I think it is fine without it but conversely I want liberal arts city animated.

Unless Kamachi is going to trash Accelerator's plan before it even gets to the point the Sisters are made public, we know the clones are about to be introduced to the world and (hopefully) given human rights and be protected. Mikoto even knows about this plan and agreed to support it so it's not like she's going to object and get in the way. So why would she need to keep track of them if they're free to walk about and they're officially classified as human and given the rights thereof? I suppose arguing Kamachi is actually going to have Accelerator's plan fail, but my response to that is "The plan is probably going to fail but STILL end with the Sisters being okay/free to walk around/have human rights; it's that Accelerator probably won't have to go to jail and it's probably not going to be anywhere near as easy as he thinks"

This. Nowadays we have hentai everywhere, twitter, patreon, pixiv, personal sites etc.. If you produce any video-game, anime or manga that becomes popular it will be flooded with 3rd-party hentai from all over the world, the old canned hentai OVAs era is pretty much over tho.
It looks like you think I'm attaching the idea of ecchi, and you're getting defensive about it. But I'm not, so calm down. Is it still popular and profitable? Sure. But it's not as prevalent. It's more limited now to a small number of franchises each year that hook all the whales and run with it. There's still some big ones but the market itself is smaller than it used to be. Maybe you just think it's bigger now because the big names are bigger than they used to be, but if you look beyond those then you'll see there's really nothing else.
