If you pirate anime, what would a legal anime streaming site have to do to make you watch anime on their platform?

not being shit

They would have to get all the licenses for every anime ever made, Availability is the problem for me

1) offer the anime for download without any protection shenanigans that make the file virtually worthless
2) not be exclusive about its content, forcing me to subscribe to 4 different services at the same time
3) good encoding would be nice. But I know that's unrealistic.

>good prices
>no region lock
>able to download so you can watch them offline
>multiple languages for the subs
>a good player for the website and app versions

If I did pirate anime, then I would say have a complete library of anime, both dubbed and subbed. Problem is that you have to go to so many different sites depending on what you want to watch if you do so legally. Want older anime like say the original Gundam show? Nope, fuck you, watch the films, or be a criminal.

give me every single anime
be free
have no ads

1. have everything I want to watch
2. not follow localization shit (i.e. jojo stands)
3. let me download stuff in a non encrypted file so I can download it on my computer and stream it to my phone or ipad over wifi

basically do shit they can't do as a company

don't paywall it
or better yet, don't even ask me to sign up for an account on your website

They can just follow Netflix's path vs cable. People want convenience and quality, not having to scrounge through multiple places to get what they want, especially if they're paying for it.

to clarify, i don't like downloading shit to my phone bc i don't have room and streaming is fucking gay

>make you watch anime on their platform
But they don't allow me watch anime on their platform.

>region locked content in [current year]
why ?

Be more convenient than torrenting
So basically impossible for any company following the usual licensing shenanigans to do

I stopped paying for Crunchyroll because they lost the licence to Kaguya-sama and I realized there was literally nothing I wanted to watch that season that they had

>no subscription. You only pay for the shows you want to watch
>that money obviously only goes to that show (and the commission for the site)
>PVs and first episodes available for free
>you can download the video files with a fucking right click
>good UI

better quality subs with multiple options (maybe one for normies and one with all the translators notes and extra tid bits)
current video quality and player could be much improved
some other features only easily implementable on a legal site such as MaL integration for watch list / forums
theres prob more better ideas but thats just what I pulled out of my ass

Nothing, I have access to a netflix account and still prefer to download torrents.

tbf that's (usually) not on them, it's on the studios selling licensing rights internationally in a dumb ass way

basically emulate buying a fucking BD

I wouldn't. Doesn't matter what they did.

ITT: People who expect businesses to not make money

No ads.
Fix your goddamn streaming services on every platform including game systems I pulled up the web browser of a ps4 to watch a yarrharr stream and it worked BETTER than my friend's crunchyroll streaming app
Hire better subs
Stop giving money to shit sjw localizers
Actually give money to studios and creators

Don't fund shit like this

downloadable files so when you arbitrarily remove them I still have access.
License everything because im not paying for multiple streaming services.
Instal google fiber into my area and magically fox up/down bitrate so you stream in true 1080.
never add political cringe to your subs.

>streaming
never
don't spend money on anything I can't save

Work fast, load fast and make it quick and easy to share.
Not be super slow.
Have a huge variety of genres available
No paywall, if you need a tip jar that's fine but don't punish me for not subscribing.
subs and dubs

>imagine paying for a subscription
>only to get this shit
It's like paying for nothing.

Pretty straightforward really.
>Good quality subtitles that try to be authentic to the source without getting autistic about purity to the source - so basically a good localisation that doesn't needlessly deviate but will change what is necessary to convey the meaning to another culture in another language.
>Once BDs are out they update video archives to have them instead of/as well as the tv versions

Literally the only reason I pirate shit still is because you get better quality from doing so. If Evangelion's best version was on Netflix instead of a fanmade subbed release with autistic, slavish devotion to picture and audio quality I would have watched it on there instead of torrenting it.

>have a good selection
>no region locking bullshit
>option to either stream the show on a sub fee or buy the show on the platform so I can just download and watch it
>convenient and easy to navigate UI
>hire good subbers and actually pay them well

Not use their income to force their way into production committees and push foreign agendas on future shows

how will they make money then user

Not being Western.

>If you pirate anime
Yes.
Good day.

>and push foreign agendas on future shows
>Most high profile role on a production committee was fucking Shield Hero
Yeah, not seeing the agenda

Make it available for free like Jump does with its manga

20 yen has been deposited into your account.

the people that work at crunchy are 60% SJW faggots who dont even watch anime (they literally have a "LGBT+ expert" to help "determine content"), 10% business people who make money, 10% HR useless women, 20% translators and chantards who never talk because they fear HR.

>If you pirate anime [headcanon]
this obvious bait thread is now a dbs chad thread

Attached: say it.jpg (720x893, 201.39K)

Not using their profit to make some disgusting western abomination and call it an "anime" would be a nice start.

Well if you like your job and don't want the idiots in HR firing you and maybe making a few false allegations that could ruin your life, you wouldn't speak up either.

Literally all they have to do is remove region block.
I fail to understand what all of that has to do anything with my reply. In any case I agree with you and that crunchyroll needs to fuck off in general

High quality. and be able to save screenshots in the native resolution.

This

Why do you think we pirate retard. We don't give a shit.

i'd gladly stop pirating if paid services didn't suck everyone's cock but mine
