I'm not here to talk about "best grill" (because it's Aoba) , as i can see how Reifags like the not-open-to-aanyone structure of Rei, while she realizes that what makes her human isn't her soul or vessel, but the experiences and feelings she has.
Meanwhile, i can also see Asucucks appreciating a fiery and active personality, that always seems to try and be outgoing but most of the time fails because she can't let her real emotions ever shine, up until the last moment.
I'm here to talk about Reifags and Asucucks themselves.
Reifags, on one hand, are better than Asucucks, but this wouldn't have happened without them. After all the attacks and shit they (and Rei) received, they themselves developed a hedgehog complex: be a part of the overall Evangelion fandom, but not so much as everytime that happens, people throw shit at them. Despite this, they're really open to most Reifags and (surprisingly) most of the time they aren't the ones that start the discussions in Eva threads.
Then, Asucucks. why can't they be normal, integral parts of the fandom? the only thing most of them want is to shag a 14yr old redhead, nothing else. They do not appreciate her personality at all (in fact a lot of them just want a fuckdoll but call out Reifags because they prefer an "emotionless sack"), and throw shit to everyone else that doesn't prefer Asuka over the others. And instead of making an effort to try and understand what makes Rei and Asuka totally different from each other. Asuka doesn't deserve a fanbase so toxic.
Conclusion: Reifags need to open more to the fandom, but this can only happen once Asucucks stop being so FUCKING STUPID. why not learn from the spanish-talking Asucucks? theydon't know shit about the series but don't go around flinging mood.

As a Reifag, I agree for the most part with your analysis. Indirectly, all the shit and attacks Rei unfairly received, together with the uncharitable treatment Rei has got from Khara in these years, have forced Reifags to evolve, adapt and become stronger. Basically, already knowing that you will get tons of shit for liking Rei, the only people that participate actively on the Eva discussions and still consider themselves Reifags, are those who care enough for her actual character beyond a superficial appeal and who know enough about Eva as to not make Rei and her fans look like complete retards. It also generates a sense of brotherhood with other Reifags, coming from a shared struggle. While there are different opinions inside the Rei fandom, in 2020 most definitely care for NGE as a masterfully crafted story and for Rei as a complex and meaningful groundbreaking character with several layers to it, that’s why Mogushitters and their ilk are shunned from the Rei threads and fandom, whereas their Asuka equivalents are welcome in the Asuka threads. Most Asukafags seem to see Asuka as a fapping material only, mirroring Shinji’s behaviour at the hospital. So, yeah. That would be it, pretty much. By the way, yesterday I gained a new appreciation and respect for the Shredbros after a couple of them (together with some Kaworu poster) saved the thread from ending with the typical degenerate shitposting. That was pretty based and as a fan of Eva as a whole also, it’s nice to see that other people realize these retards are not only damaging for Rei but for Evangelion in general. The shittier the threads and discussion and overall quality of the Eva fans, the easier it is for Khara to keep on putting out subpar attempts at Evangelion.

Not that user, but the other guy was right. Asuka does treat other people like shit, regardless if she had legitimate reasons for having mental problems. Not that it excuses her in anyway whatsoever. You seem to not have watched the show and your meme posting seems more retarded than the valid criticism of Asuka’s actions the other guy did.
