It's alright. I prefer my fantasy series more fantastical and less modern so the setting didn't really pull me in, but the reveal of the Märchens moved things in the right direction for me. Still hoping for either a Gotei style group of Arthurian medieval knights or some kind of crossover between the East and West branches of Soul Society. Balgo's sword could be a hint of that, but I get the impression that Burn the Witch isn't going to be a particularly long series, maybe 5-10 volumes or "seasons" in total, so there's probably no room for much more than the Top of the Horns and the Märchens.
On a more meta level, it will be interesting to see how WSJ can handle a "seasonal" series like this. HxH is kind of similar these days but that's a very well established series so the situation is a bit different. If it works out we could end up seeing similar projects in the future from other veteran authors.
