Houseki no Kuni

Just finished watching this show.
Initially I wrote it off because
>CG
but since then I've warmed up to the thought of CG if done well, and seeing some art of the manga posted around here I decided to give it a go, and it was great. It was a really good show. When is season 2? Isn't there enough material for a season 2 already from the manga? I just started reading the manga because of how much I enjoyed it. I need more.

Read the manga.
There is enough material for 2 seasons already.

It looks almost as bad as other CG series.
Soulless and wooden.

Something something Japanese people something appreciation something

Not even a little bit.
It's incomparable to shit like Berserk

Why do you think they haven't made more seasons? I thought it was a big hit.

They're doing Beastars and that's partially funded by Netflix iirc and I guess Netflix wanted another season of it. Hopefully after season 2 of that they'll make more HnK.

The way they ended s1 felt like they don't intend for a s2 sadly.

The show did the antarc abduction scene so well that I'm actually a little heartbroken. I initially glossed over that part in the manga, but the anime really nailed it well.

If they did that well with that scene, I can only imagine how great some of the more dynamic manga scenes would play out. :(

Too busy making furshit.

AILP!

Antarc scene was an absolute masterpiece. Way more impactful than manga.

That kinda sucks.

I read somewhat further into the manga and then stopped myself because I want to feel the emotional blows full force. The OST was incredible. I really really hope we get a season 2.

>still over a week before next leaks

Any similar shows? Eg. creative and unique setting with mystery.
Don't say Shinsekai Yori because I think that show is shit and Houseki no Kuni is basically SSY done right.

I've been speedreading myself through the manga trying to get up to the point where the anime ends, it's just too much for me to handle not to know what comes next.

Phos is Squealer if he didn't lose

You're in for a fucking ride

Do you guys think the ending will be a bittersweet one, but one that was still worth going through to get to? Or do you think it will end in 100% misery for everyone? Personally I hope it'll be the former.

Misery for everyone but Phos.

I don't see how we can get a non suffering ending now.

Something extremely retarded like a timeline reset.

My prediction
>Phos kills all lifeforms other than him and Sensei
>Sensei eventually breaks down
>Phos is the last thing left alive

>season 2
gembros...

Early on I wondered if something so wild will happen in the finale that everyone gets wiped out and we end up with humans again.

there is no ending for suffering

Please be real.

eh, my bet is on furshit s2. The latest chapter said that there's a big announcement coming. It's either the end of the manga, S2 of the anime or both.
I kinda don't want HnK S2 to happen because I don't want to go through Craig's bimbofication again. And all these chapters that focus on him and Aechmea. He used to be my 2nd favorite character before that...

there always thing that can be changed in the adaptation, eg, cinnabar "rescuing" phos instead of amethyst and also not showing ghost

Anyone know if this is a pose from HnK that can be found in the manga somewhere?

I want S2 just to see Self-blame and Beautiful World happen.
