Is medaka box the best shonen of all time?

Like best girls, best manga is more of a subjective choice but Medaka is definitely up there for me, especially if you mean battle shounen.

It's too preoccupied with reminding the readers about how the whole thing is a silly parody. However, it does have some genuinely brilliant moments that do manage to convey some cool messages. I'd say that people that are into shonen should give it a try.

I will always love Medaka Box. Probably my favorite shounen Jump Manga I've ever read. It did everything I wanted and several things I didn't know i wanted.

Right now I have 10 out of 22 volumes, out of order. The remaining 12 are coming in the next three weeks from about half a dozen different sources. God, I love being french.

God damnit, when Viz started talking about forming a deal to do all the shonen jump series I just sorta hoped they'd go back and translate older manga. Unfortunately that's not the case.

It's good enough that we're still having threads about it after the storytime ended.

It's a great manga, but to call it the best shonen, it has to embody all that is shonen. Therefore, it has to be unironic and even a bit campy.
I'd choose Gash Bell instead.

Honestly Medaka Box is a manga I can never get enough of talking about. But it's dead and irrelevant so there's never a good chance to discuss it. That and it's pretty hard to get friends into it so I can't really discuss it with anyone I know.

So how do you feel about tge show now that you actually finished it?

Bleach is the greatest manga of all time.

I never watched anime.
But the manga was a lot better on my second try. Reading with anons makes it better.

You should watch the the final episode of season 2.
It is an anime original episode that was written by nisio himself.
It was pretty much intended for manga readers since it has a fuckton of spoilers.

I still never got around to checking that out. Mostly because I'm not a huge fan of the way the anime is colored, but honestly partially just because it reminds me that the show ends before the minus arc. That shit still hurts.
