In fact, the one black token character hey had on the show was treated like shit and written out a few episodes in. The show is good, the same complicated politics and technology, the same action. Go ahead post the WEBM of the weird action scene, u post it without context because you see the dude dodging all weird is supposed to look weird because hes super human. hes dodging before they fire their guns and thats how it looks like if a machine was being extremely calculating and efficient - thats the point of the antagonist. anyways they did stand alone episodes, the characters were all pretty much the same as the old anime. nothing changed, you just hate the animation and honestly I don't prefer it over traditional animation but I greet it - it does not prevent me from watching it.

Batou and Motoko are superhuman too, they should at least be able to land a few shots on him mid-flip. Compare this with their fight against Kuze in 2nd Gig when he's trying to assassinate the PM with just a sword. He was fast and strong but still got riddled with holes because even the best cybernetics don't make you completely untouchable.

Only one specific problem. Zig Forums is geared to talk about shows on a weekly cadence. Since neflix did their normal MO and just dumped it all in one day Zig Forums couldn't talk about it like Zig Forums normally does. The threads almost instantly devolved into a supercut of shit animation/art mocking the production quality since that's what could be readily digested and the rest is history.
Nice segway into nothing, we're not talking about any anime ever, we're talking about GitS which, like it or not, is somewhat grounded in reality, it was like that in the manga, it was like that in the 95 movie, it was like that in SAC, it was even like that in the fucking live action movie. This explaination doesn't adequately explains how he can dodge bullets like he does, again the human body simply can't move like that, it looks like they're deliberately firing on the ground to miss him-and I know they had to capture him alive. Literally just aim the gun higher for 0.5 seconds and he'd have had his leg incapacitated, that was just retarded.
BTW this series does a good job at explaining most thing that happen and make them believable, this scene was just a fucking fiesta even by SAC_2045 standards

I think the worst part is that later in the same show they did a better job of the same idea. It wasn't well executed, but the way that the guy storming the ICBM silo was moving worked better for what they were trying to convey. Though that style of movement also wouldn't have looked convincing in CQB with two of the most talented cyborg operators on the planet.
The idea that someone could even move a body so quickly, cyborg or not, to completely avoid all bullet trajectories at that kind of range, against other cyborg's reflexes, is bizarre. Mass exists in Ghost in the Shell. SAC in its prior incarnations has made a point of showing that cyborg bodies, while exceptionally capable, are still heavy, require leverage and all sorts of other things.
the true reason is that anime fans are autistic and will shit themselves when they see 3D. the only REAL difference between this and the previous seasons is that the plot relevant episodes are placed right next to each other and lead into each other rather than being spaced apart. and obviously this doesnt really affect anything, its just a pacing difference.
