This season was pretty shit but honestly watching Hachiman finally make it felt pretty good. I completely forgot he was even capable of character development and seeing him be honest and try to express himself was pretty motivating. Hope we all make it some day bros, though preferably with a Yui

Yui at least was a proper character, and she deserves a proper chad in her life, not some self-insert for fat social outcasts. Slutroha being fucking completely sidelined and forgotten is actually justice.

Oh, and the whole prom plot device is insultingly retarded and should have been excised right at the start by merciless editor, forcing that hack to write up something good instead. Mother and both sisters are absolutely useless non-characters as they stand as well, and should get the rope. Then again, it would _all_ be so much better if 8man was an actual self-destructing nihilist asshole with this resetting relationships hangup of his. We could have gotten an actual story worth watching.

I disagree with you on Iroha - and I'm not an Iroha fag - it's just if you pulled all the prospective "Waifus" out of it and looked at them as real people only Iroha is devoide of any major psychological issues. The rest of the main love interests are all engineered to caricature archetypes - of course. Iroha through an anime lense, I get the hate, but through a reality lens she was one of the few sane ones.
Yui is just the opposite - She was a vapid prospect. I dated a girl like Yui in HS and my god - expect to carry the entire relationship yourself because doting blank slates are not fun.
But I wanted to give you your (You) as you earned it with your Prom plot device take. I had to force myself through this season and the Prom thing is just the absolute worst thing of the entire franchise.
3rd season/last arc sort of got stuck in the (very common) LN/Manga trap of a writer not knowing how to end their story.
(And it's not that my best girl didn't win, I was a Yukinofag) -
The mother should have been more of a threat, it was built up that she would be - I was disappointed, and of course I'll again second you "Prom" take.
I'm glad there was a resolution - but by god was the resolution shitty.
