It feels a bit like a non-ending, but she seems to acknowledge they're basically dating right now and he outright promised to fuck her brains out as soon as he graduates, so I think it's pretty good.

I think one of the best things about this ending is that while it's cute and shows that they're basically a couple now, the author left it open enough to return to these characters if he one day desires to do so.

As far as open endings go I think it's a pretty strong one, especially because there's still clear disruption of the status quo via shounen becoming a chad about his feelings.
