I have to agree with some anons that the last few episodes were kinda meh. They're not bad, I still love the characters, chibi robos and everything, but I was hoping for, I don't know... more hype? Like, things are happening but I'm not feeling much. I was hoping they would end the show in some different way, but I guess that's not the case. But whatever, still AOTS for me.

They've been spinning their wheels since episode 5, no real plan for how to end the series AT ALL.

I'm not sure. I think they had a plan, we know about the factory gadoll since ep 6, so it's not like it came out of nowhere just now. They knew they're going to do something with him, but it's not what I was expecting. I was hoping for a big final battle with the overall system or Hugin or whatever, not the giant gadoll, maybe that's why I'm a little bit disappointed.

yeah i'm hoping we straight up get a second season and they don't rush it but its not looking like it.

A 40-minute episode would be enough. Not that I don't want a second season, but if there won't be any, then at least they could give us a longer episode so they wouldn't have to rush the plot.

considering it started with her being orphaned and the middle aged robot having suicidal ideations, I kinda thought there would be more ongoing suffering.

tanker deaths, alcoholic robots, backstabbing, shock of finding out the world is fake....ingredients are still there but the suffering is absent. half the remaining human population (which lives in extreme poverty by all indications & just had their gadoll meat supply eradicated--what are they going to eat???) should have just died from the rogue gadoll tossing deca-dence around like a tin can but again no suffering is show.

There is enough suffering. You can choke up your story by adding too much of it, diverting the focus. Also as viewer you would easily start to antagonize Gears/Cyborgs which is not the point.

I see your point but also without any suffering it's easy to lose sight of why they're struggling so desperately and risking their lives, so there's a balance to be struck and I think it's slightly off

still enjoy the show though

The giant gadoll fight was actually kinda cool.

The 11th episode is the first Deca-Dence episode I missed live. And I hate that.

I don't get the impression this system is going to be "resolved." I think it's something they are going to have to learn to live with. But I could be dead wrong.
