As I stated previously, I believe that this was intentional. Japanese WANT Webtoons to fail. They are trying to make atrocious anime of all the most popular Webtoons so that they can ruin their reputation.
Mangas are still tied to physical releases, so it's harder to officially get in the industry, the remaining translators do it because of a hobby or to "help me take care of me sick mum".
Gookchinkshit however gets mass produced and distribuited online with way less quality checks so a lot of people are getting into the manhwa tl kartel.
