I didn't play HF route and i couldn't understand shit in the movies. I even thought the movie i was watching had been accidentally cropped by the site or something. The manga has a much better pacing.

I thought so as well for a long time since it was my first fate, but after rewatching all the shows and playing the VN I noticed that it's actually not nearly as good as I remembered it to be.
F/SN, /Illya and /Extra are better.

Second season wasn't that much better. But at least something happened there, first season of F/Z is a snorefest. I tired to rewatch it and couldn't even make it past first episode.

zero was boring, and wasted too much time on non relevant shit. Also, this ending is pure garbage, and doesnt work at all without reading vn
