Mahito's inner monologues this chapter remind me of Hunter X Hunter fights. I really like when you can follow a characters thought process.

Gege tends to do this sort of thing a lot, really - the inner monologues and the narration always gave me huge Hunter x Hunter vibes and I'm all for it

Okay, Yuji has definitely got some self healing going on. Its not Gege forgetting. The scar is clearly there, but the bleeding has stopped.

Either Sukuna is helping, Yuji is subconsciously converting curse energy into positive energy and using a healing technique, or my theory that cursed vessels can heal with just regular curse energy might be correct. There's no way the second option is right. So its gotta be 1 or 3.

Though I appreciate Gege's commitment to generally organic plotflow (letting characters die when it would make sense for them to die, instead of finding ways to keep their deaths "equal"), I'll admit Dagon getting a single fight and getting curbstomped by Toji's arrival will always make me sad. Just wish he could have stuck around a little longer. Would have been easier to cope with if we didn't also lose Hanami and Jogo.

I guess Gege was serious about establishing the fact that he's only gonna get stronger and stronger. Not to make Shiggy comparisons like many others have done but I do just find that sort of "the villain is growing too" thing really cool and it's clear Gege did too.

Trying break Yuji's mind with normies isn't going to work in his current state when he's just hardened his resolve after Sukuna's mass slaughter. This might be part of Mahito's downfall. Keep on trying to break Yuji, but Yuji has already moved past that point.

I'm starting to think Mahito has no clue what just happened above ground. He should, since the last panel in this page indicates he's aware of Nobara, meaning he's shared info with his other self. I guess Mahito-2 missed the Sukuna Fun Fun time?

Also, it doesn't bode well for Nobara, if Mahito is aware of Nobara, but isn't worried. Since this is supposed to be 10+ minutes after the Nobara fight starts.

With the way Sukuna could split his soul it's kind of logical that Mahito could too.

It's so clear that Gege is trying to create fights like HxH as other anons have mentioned, but even though the flow and incorporation of narration/inner thoughts/plans I'd nice, the actual contents of them are almost childish (morphed human beam! Morphed human punch!) and instead we get flashy poses.
This makes the battles pretty boring to me and this chapter feels like nothing but "filler" (you know what I mean)/buildup.

If I were nitpicky I'd say he says something more like "Bad aim".

Well they aren't allowed to add translator's notes and I don't think every single instance of Japanese wordplay is translatable to English. What would you have done, personally?

All fights in Jujutsu have at least one build up chapter. I like this format over jumping from fight to fight. With no dialogue.

I've always assumed the curses' clothes are made out of curse energy. I can't see them going into stores on a shopping spree trying outfits.

To each their own. Gege fights are clearly not on the same level of HxH fights to me, but they definitely take aspects of HxH that I like. JJK fights have always been signficantly more fast-paced in nature, and a lot more about actual choreography and movements (especially in the case of Yuji). So I'm not expecting complex Nen powers and Mahito's morphing is fine for how kinetic the battles have always been.

And Mahito is pretty childish, so.

Yeah in the original he says 'No control' in English.
