Someone play the devil's advocate for me. I often see Fujimoto's paneling being praised as one of his strengths and while the manga does have its moments of brilliance, there are also pages like this, where zero thought was put into paneling. The creativity slider is deliberately set at 0. One fixed size panel for one character for one short bubble speech for the same expression. It's not a back-and-forth exchange of ideas, but a mundane conversation, could fit in 2-4 panels instead of 9. What effect is this supposed to convey, except laziness and fuck you I can get away with it?
