I'm watching the anime now. It was really uncomfortable for like 3 episodes, but now it's kind of just more of the same. How's the manga? Obviously the art is fantastic, but that aside, is there anything else that could keep your interest for the like 500 volumes?

The manga is more to the point than the anime. I watched the anime first and I feel that it's more like a bonus thing if you've read the manga. Very atmospheric, but too slow for a casual watcher.
