Why is Vegeta the "Prince" of all Saiyans? His father the King is dead, meaning that by all rights Vegeta should have inherited said title of "King," and given his prideful nature I don't see why he wouldn't refer to himself by his proper title. What kind of bullshit Disney Princess logic is this?

Prince is an ambiguous title that can just as easily mean ruler as it can heir

I hate to be that guy, but isn't goku technically a saiyan prince as well? he is a saiyan, and he married Chichi, who is literally a princess.

The title used in Japanese is "oji"

The sayajin kingdom was dissolved the moment Freeza took over. King isn't an empty title it's function. Without a kingdom to lord over there's no such thing as a king.

But then doesn't the same apply to to title of prince? Well prince is typically just a honerific title for the son of a king. A prince without a princedom would be a prince no longer. But unlanded sons of king are often refered to as princes and that's a title you hold onto for life even if the monarch title eventually becomes the primary title of the prince.

The Sayajin kingdom was converted to a puppet society when King Cold assimilated them.
But if you really think about it, there wasn't much to dissolve.
The sayajins had no real society, just a king who ruled over them.
Less than 20 years before Cold conquered them they were still a race of barbarians invading the tuffles.

Toriyama forgot about Ox-King being a King and thus Chi-Chi being a Princess in favor of turning Chi-Chi into a generic Japanese mom and Ox-King into a generic Grandpa who never actually interacts with his grandchildren.

Next chapter will include Moro eating his own arm to get Merus' angel powers. Then Goku will fight him seriously 4reals this time and the chapter will end with no conclusion.

I really hate how the Cell saga and especially the Buu Saga took the creative and fun world of the original Dragon Ball and turned into a boring copy of the real world.

That's a good point. I honestly can't recall any canon moments of Ox-King speaking with Gohan or Goten. He's always just there standing in the background.
