LN are just jap YA fiction
And Shōsetsuka ni Narō is jap Wattpad

>Seriously which fucking school that teach you how crop rotation works
Did you not learn the basics of crop rotation in history? I went to a very shitty school and never went to college, but even I know about crop rotation from school itself

>Seriously which fucking school that teach you how crop rotation works
grade school I graduated 15 years ago?

>Basic
Yes, basic. But the knowledge of it in the ln is always beyond that

>MC is black hair with ordinary but handsome face
It's not just isekai, and it's because of this guy.

>>JAPANESE FOOD IS THE BEST XD
Also, Europeans only ate stale black bread in medieval times.

>Implying all isekai world is like europeans

its because it is the most generic look to self insert

Almost all isekai are set in a fantasy world based on medieval Europe. You have series like 12 Kingdoms but they're an exception.

But that doesn't make them have the same rule as europe did.
People eat stale bread in medieval europe because they didn't have spices in their land.

To appeal to the coping self-insert audience.

I like to self-insert as protagonists, but I'm ugly so I never self-insert as the protagonists who somehow have every girl fall in love with them every 5 seconds, but rather manly protagonists who don't constantly have love interests growing around them like weeds and are just focused on their task at hand. Same thing, different self-insert.
I've seen the average otaku, I don't get how they find it easy to self-insert as generic-looking but handsome protagonists, but everyone has their copes so more power to them.

So you're telling me you know off the top of your head, exactly what crops should be used in what order for maximum efficiency? And that you'd rather grow crops, as opposed to taking soil samples, monitoring soil temperatures and starting your own vineyard?

Nigger, how the fuck do you not know how crop rotation works? I literally had that shit explained to me in elementary school. It's a basic as fuck thing.

Read and

>So you're telling me you know off the top of your head, exactly what crops should be used in what order for maximum efficiency?
Nope! But I know that every year you want to move certain crops around to avoid depleting the soil's fertility or some shit like that, anything more than that I'd have to figure out with guess work (or if I thought it'd ever be useful to me in the future, I'd just google that shit right now. But obviously we don't have reincarnation in other worlds IRL so I won't).

>And that you'd rather grow crops, as opposed to taking soil samples, monitoring soil temperatures and starting your own vineyard?
You've lost me, I told you already I went to a shitty high school so this much is over my head.

>You've lost me, I told you already I went to a shitty high school so this much is over my head
Now imagine you are the MC of that ln. You understand now?

>Knowledgeable as fuck in EVERYTHING even though they are a high schooler / Salaryman/ NEET (Seriously which fucking school that teach you how crop rotation works, let alone making guns)
It's part of a naive power fantasy. Pretty much everyone has a vague idea of the concept of crop rotation or how guns work and they're fed the illusion that this kind of basic knowledge is enough to get to functional results.

And that europoors were casually dining on potatoes, corn and tomatoes before blindly sailing across the ocean.

>Europeans only ate stale black bread in medieval times.
I am pretty sure that this is a misconception, there was places and time where even peasants eat reasonably well

Yeah I agree with the basic premise that most LN protagonists know too damn much, but I still don't think a Japanese HS student knowing useful knowledge about agriculture that medieval society doesn't know yet is too far fetched.
Making a gun or a bomb from scratch though? Unless you're a /k/ enthusiast HS student you're not going to even have a clue where to start, and even then, you're more likely to kill yourself. Let alone someone from a country like Japan.

Stuff along those lines is where these protagonists get really stupidly knowledgable.

I'm saying that that is how it's portrayed in isekai novels.

>Why do they keep doing this??

because it is interesting to see overcompetent people doing stuff. many authors take it too far tho.

>Why do they keep doing this??
because it sells

>Kingdom who summoned the MC has an evil noble faction with a villain
>Villain is evil but also incompetent
>Also villain is fat
>Slavery is also involved somehow (why)
>The kingdom who summoned the hero either hates beastmen or hates the MC
>genuinely no progression for the MC and he's a human WMD the moment he knows how magic works

But in the real world, people usually eat food from source that are common to them like potatoes or bread in europe or spicy food like in india or asia.
But most isekai world don't follow the same rule, since most spices is abundant there.
Either the world inhabitant is idiot or the author is incompetence if people there don't know how to cook

*incompetent
fuck auto correct

>(Seriously which fucking school that teach you how crop rotation works, let alone making guns)
>He didn't go to farm school

If there is anything in this world about which I know positively nothing, it is agriculture.

How it should go down 9/10 times: the main character knows what black powder is, coal, potassium nitrate and sulphur. After a bit of an adventure he finally has the ressources to make gunpowder, but he has no fucking clue what potassium nitrate looks like or how it's made.

>create interesting isekai premise with interesting first volume
>it becomes a cooking show afterwards, as author has run out of ideas, but he knows how to cook

Japanese food usually is not spicy traditionally and they tend to rely on plant-based food and whole grains like brown rice, millet and buckwheat. Only from Meiji Restoration did white rice become part of the modern Japanese diet.
