Episode 17 synopsis: Just when they thought they'd beaten the powerful Eyesmon, the even larger eight-headed Orochimon appears before Taichi and co. Orochimon's power is overwhelming, and they cannot stand against it even working together. They end up running away, scattering in different directions. Meanwhile, in the real Shibuya, Orochimon's presence is causing several malfunctions. If they don't do something, Taichi's sister Hikari and Yamato's brother Takeru, along with several other Tokyo citizens, will be in danger. Although Taichi and Yamato are separated from their friends, they gather up their courage to take down Orochimon in a reckless strategy.
The "Tuskmon" in the original publication of this synopsis was a typo. It was supposed to read "Eyesmon".
I'm just not on board with this reboot. So far a lot more happened in this reboot then in the original, yet I can't seem to care about it. It's just like watching someone imitate something, and doing it poorly. It is just not engaging. The lack of Devimon is a huge part of this. In the original, we got glimpses of him, more and more, to build him up. Here? I don't think he's even shown up once, but we know he's IN it because of the OP.
Oliver King
How do you typo with an entirely different Digimon? Them on and Eyesmon aren’t even remotely similar except for the mon part at the end.
Logan Gray
Same. For lack of a better term, it's pretty soulless. I don't feel for the characters or care about anything like I did in the original
Jaxson Clark
No idea. It's incredible such a vital detail managed to be typed incorrectly like that.
Jason Cox
>The lack of Devimon is a huge part of this. In the original, we got glimpses of him, more and more, to build him up. Here? I don't think he's even shown up once He did at the start of episode 9.
Hunter Sanders
mimo?
Daniel Diaz
Oh yeah, I forgot. Still, it's ironic that the pacing is so fast that they already reached ultimate levels, but we've only seen Devimon once. Also... he's far less impressive here.
Leo Parker
Reboot sucks balls but I think you're being nostalgic there, Devimon was handled horribly in the OG, briefly showed up for 3 episodes max before meeting his death That was a problem with every Adventure villain that wasn't Myotismon
Devimon sent the metal tyrannomon, so he still had authority. Last episode also established stage =/= power, so I'm guessing they have some plan for him.
People have been guessing he's a corrupted patamon/angemon, but we'll see in the next 40 something episodes
Logan Anderson
>he's far less impressive here. What do you mean? He looks like he could break a perfect level with his own hands
Henry Long
>I don't think he's even shown up once, but we know he's IN it because of the OP. He did not appear in the OP, he actually showed up in the show.
Angel Smith
>That was a problem with every Adventure villain that wasn't Myotismon Are you kidding? Etemon had countless appearances throughout his arc and basically carried the middle part of OG adventure. Even last minute villains like the Dark Masters had small scenes in every episode since their introduction.
Justin Gonzalez
>the Dark Masters had small scenes in every episode While they get one-shot in 2 or less episodes each, are you the one kidding by any chance?
You lack reading comprehension. The point was that they had plenty of appearances even for "last minute villains". I never said that they were handled great, but they didn't lack screentime as a whole.
Yes, but he has zero presence. He's just not imposing.
Julian Cooper
nobody is for taichi
Gavin Reyes
Yes they did lol Myotismon was the only adv villain that was fleshed out right, the others were old farts. Digimon Kaiser, Archnimon and Mummymon, Black Wargreymon and Oikawa all had meaningful screentime, Adventure sucked balls at writing villains but 02 contrarians can't cope with it.
I think what pissed people off about the three in pic related was how they weren't defeated by the protagonists despite having tormented them for episodes upon episodes. It felt a total waste of time for their inclusion.
The four of them were killed by Myotismon who merely used them as pawns, but it makes sense with the thematic of the season. The digidestineds didn't want to murder beings capable of having good feelings.
Brandon Rivera
>The digidestineds didn't want to murder beings capable of having good feelings. Which makes 02 such a drag. Every episode between episode 27 and episode 37 is awfully boring. Coincidentally those are the episodes with the fewest appearances by the old cast.
Zachary Moore
fast! spread the word! oh god someone is knocking on my door. okay, it's just that old lady neighbour. probably had her cat run away again. I'll just go and check real qui
Blake Allen
>Coincidentally those are the episodes with the fewest appearances by the old cast. Opinion overruled, people who dislike something new because it replaces "muh old cast" are faggots who deserve no respect
