Volume 1:Volume 2:Volume 3:Volume 4:Fairy Tail is the second major work of Hiro Mashima after Rave Master. It came out in 2006 and contains quite a few throwbacks to Rave.

Last volume we started up the Galuna island arc after "rescuing" Erza from the council. This time the quest's about blowing up the moon cause it mutated the inhabitants of the island, but then it switched up to Gray's backstory arc with his teacher, fellow student, and the giant demon that murdered everyone he loved.
