VN is best, as usual. Anime isn't bad, but I thought it either ruined or cut out a lot of the best moments.

VN is what you want if you want the most out of the story. The 2006 anime will get you the important details but is infamous for its QUALITY. The 2020 anime is to be determined

The Watanabe designs are ill-fitting and soulless.

I'm cautiously optimistic.
The original show only looked *really* bad in a few places, but I can see why it would be a turnoff to some.
Gonna try to get my friend into it, so I hope the remake doesn't drop the ball.
