>no /ss/
fuck this shit

They end up together, just not when he's prepubescent

Any anons has a summary of what happens in the las two chapter?
Is that what chapter 42 was about? Confirming their relationship?

Bump

I'm sad it's over but I think it's a good time to end it. Brilliant manga.

Anyone who was seriously expecting /ss/ wasn't paying close enough attention. The author has explicitly said in an interview that she is ethically opposed to that kind of relationship and it was pretty obvious based on the tone of the manga as well. This isn't Musume no Tomodachi.

I think what really made this manga special was how little it relied on misunderstandings and miscommunications to create drama. The MC actually comunicates like a thirty-something year old woman and not a child.

>The author has explicitly said in an interview that she is ethically opposed to that kind of relationship
This oozes of hypocrisy. It's ethically wrong to be in an inappropriate relationship with an minor when you're already 30+, but the grooming itself is fine? Does she actually think it's the eventual officialization of the relationship itself that fucks with these kids more than the years of psychological manipulation when they were young and impressionable?

This, if you're gonna seduce a shounen, you have to take responsibility.

>but the grooming itself is fine?
>years of psychological manipulation
I don't view what she did as grooming or psychological manipulation at all. She was just friends with a young boy.

This relationship is suspicious from the outside because she's a stranger but there's nothing fundamentally wrong with an older person being friends with a younger person. It would be grooming if she was intentionally trying to grow close to him just to exploit him/fuck him later.

Yes, he fell in love with her. But boys fall in love with older women all the time. I don't think it's that weird. I think there's also an argument that her disappearing so quickly and for so long during his formative years is what confused him into believing he was so deeply in love with her.

FUCK THIS

The author is a bait-and-switch asshole.

Will they fuck?

Yeah, after another time skip and when Satoko is 57 years old.

wtf nothing has happened at all

That's kinda hot

I hope they kiss at least.

From the raws of chapter 42, it seems nothing will will really happen between them.

So are they a couple now? Or is Mashuu going to spend his life in the friendzone?

WnS is ending.
SnK is ending.
Beastars is ending.
ToG is ending.

ToG got Berserk'd.
It's not ending.

The author is just a lazy cunt who wants to rest on the success of the anime.

So shes not gonna end with the mc then I'm guessing? I know hes grown up now but I havent caught up so what are the chances bros?

From the raws of the latest chapter it looks like they're maintaining their "just very good friends" kind of relationship but he's still looking at her with sparkly eyes like she's some kind of goddess.
Maybe there'll be another timeskip in the final chapter and we see them as a couple but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

This manga seems to be more about the characters overcoming their obstacles than the actual relationship between them which is kinda dull honestly.

Fuck, thats a punch in the gut. I was hoping when it first started that they'd get together, at the end obviously. Shame to hear it probably won't happen.

Your point? Some manga is always ending.

So it's a watered down Garden of Words that's too cowardly to commit to the logical conclusion? man, what a waste of time.

Yeah it seems to be an ongoing thing in age gap stories.
I'm still wondering what the "big surprise" the author was talking about in the interview will be because so far everything points to a boring ending.

sadly

>SnK is ending
It's been "ending" for almost an entire year now

Not as bad as Kono onee-san or Koi Ameagari, but I will never read an ongoing age gap series ever again. I'm done.

This was really good at the start but felt directionless for the last ten chapters or so

Since the time skip, it felt like there wasn't much to explore between then any more.

That it's ending soon feels strange — it did not feel as if it were building up to anything.

That chapter where she reverts to her younger self out of nowhere was really uncomfortable.

i was telling everyone for months on Zig Forums, after we got that interview from the author a year back, saying she will not have them get together and that she will also not age them up is because its against her beliefs. And we still have anons telling me to STFU because i don't know what i am talking about can't wait for those anons to be seething.

>we got that interview from the author a year back, saying she will not have them get together and that she will also not age them up is because its against her beliefs. And we still have anons t
keep seething, anytime someone would bring this shit work up i was giving everyone warning it was going to lead to nothing and not to pick it up.

There's absolutely no "seething" in any of these posts. Keep the Zig Forums buzzwords at the door.

At first it was cute but the last couple chapters are almost like she's becoming a schizo
I kneel doomchads. I was a fucking idiot to hold out hope.

>be ethically opposed against it
>but still use it to attract viewers and make money
Fuck you author

you were wrong user about this manga you had hopes it would end with /ss/ but now its ending in "she was a mother figure to me" author would be based if she has him end up with his classmate who has a crush on him.

keep seething, next time user when someone tells you about an author telling you about their ending a year in advance, believe the warning.
