>it is a faithful adaptation of the entire story; 100% recreated shot for shot and scene for scene to the manga
If every Manga got the Monster treatment, what would be the GOAT?
Berserk with proper music and sound design could definitely be elevated if the anime matched the art quality
I'm always undecided about what kind of adaptation I want. I do think just "animating" panels is a waste but more often than not an adaptation trying to do anything interesting fails.
Nausicaa
This or YKK, I feel like YKK would work really well as a series of shorts that cover each chapter.
Nina should have been the protagonist of monster. All her episodes are far higher in quality than the rest of the show
It's a pretty long series though. Having normal length episodes that cover maybe 3 chapters (with separations, not trying to combine them into one story) would probably be better and would keep them from needing 100+ short episodes. But even 3 chapters per episode would require over 40 episodes, which isn't going to happen.
Kurosawa
This but with a movie budget.
I dunno but I criticize Jojo precisely for being this. I don't get the feeling I'm watching anime with Jojo, it's like I'm slowly seeing the Manga pages with voice acting on top of them.
It's campy enough to work at times but a bunch of other times I'm like
>I wish a different studio gave us an actual anime
Kinda like the OVAs with better direction. There it really looked like powerful men fighting with Superpowers instead of a tactical Pokémon battle.
Now, on the other hand. That's the route they should take with Higurashi and Umineko.
The work is there. Strong mangakas already managed to adapt the weird and long stories into Manga chapters so a studio should pick them up and merely animate them page by page. Umineko would instantly become a classic like Monster just by animating the manga
Nausicaa
Qualia the Purple
Uzumaki
Inside Mari
Tokyo Ghoul
Fucking this
Biorg Trinity
Gintama is still the GOAT and it got better treatment than monster except last two seasons. Fuck bandai namco for that.
That’s kino actually.
Perhaps I should watch the anime after all.
I personally dropped Monster anime because it's an overrated shitand only checked out the first episode equivalent in the manga, but anyway, I disagree in general. Comic books and cartoons are two different media. What works in one will not necessarily work in another. It might be somewhat different if, say, the manga consistently attempts to be very cinematic. Just like with any adaptation, what an anime adaptation needs, is a competent director who knows his craft, there's no escaping from it.
Tenma was a insufferable piece of shit, reminded me of Suzaku when i was watching Code Geass. Ruined the show for me
HxH would be the first text only anime.
You're trying to be cheeky, but HxH has many scenes that do not translate to the anime format very well if you go about it 1-to-1, "10 seconds" of invasion are probably the best example. Yeah, I know "5 minutes on Namek" is a very common trope, but it doesn't mean it works well, it's just silly each time it's animated.
>100% recreated shot for shot and scene for scene to the manga
this isn't nececarily good. look at the cinematography for OPM S2 for example
Why haven’t they done this yet, what are those lazy fucking faggots over at Ghibli doing anyway?
Bandai Namco did a pretty poor job, but by that time Gintama was already past its former glory. Speaking of Gintama, episode 111b is an example where recreating the manga shot for shot by copying and pasting the panels would have been a bad idea. Instead, it was directed in a way to capture the atmosphere of the manga, and the end product managed to be far superior to the original source.
Just imagine
trash
fukumoto's kurosswa? definitly. omk would also do it great.
liar game, or battle royale
tenma>>>>>>>>johan
Kill yourself
slice of nothing
...
Sure but the story would have been best with Nina as the lead & Tenma as a secondary protagonist. Having so much importance on the twins only to not have the good twin being the lead was retarded
nope, you kill yourself, you fucking nausica fag!!! fuckign overrated piece of shit manga with awfull ass panelling and retarded characters.
Anime adaptations shouldn't be shot-for-shot recreations of manga. A page is a different canvas to a screen and each should be approached differently.
slice of nothing happens and period. go suck a dick, fucking pleb with awful taste for bs manga about lesbian robots
