after mtgox died in 2014 I didn't touch shitcoins for over 3 years due to embarrassment. Never checked price once until a friend told me btc was going up in 2017. Ideally you would put yourself in a place where you didn't even know what happened just happened, you might happen to see it on a historical chart but never lived it. Don't use leverage. Buy some shit and let it collect dust like a boomer.

If you margin trade but have very little idea of what you’re doing, you’re guaranteed to lose money sooner or later.
Hell I was so much of a brainlet that I paid a dude to do TA but as I had so little funds, I overleveraged my position. I was smart enough to use stoplosses but that was alsho my downfall. almost EVERY single time, no matter how high or low I entered for a short or long, the stoploss was hit. And even if I decided to move it even further from the entry, it STILL somehow hit by just 0.5-2$

So I finally came to my senses and figured out that this was not for me. If I used more sane leverage the monthly gains on my by then tiny portfolio would be barely enough to even break even from the fee I had to pay, so I called it quits. Best decision I’ve ever made in crypto up until recently when I was lucky and timed the market well with some promising shitcoins
