Yeahh, I know the system is pretty vague as it is but being JUST a head feels like pushing that line a bit considering all that we’ve seen before, anything involving a proper decapitation really should be followed by instant unconsciousness IMO.

Not living being standards but the standards we’ve seen from other gem shattering, it’s taken less than a lost head to render a gem unconscious in other situations, like I said, just seems like a VERY grevious injury as far as gems go, and Shinshas at that point would functionally only be like 10% of his original body as a head, which makes it really weird that he’s even awake, much less speaking, even if it is just temporary.
Unless it’s like the other user said and Shinshas got giga strong inclusions or something, but still, it’s just a little jarring in comparison to earlier stuff

The images you posted are better quality though. And while the guy that normally translates these chapters did it for the leaks (which was missing several pages), the translation for the entire chapter was pretty rough.
