Part 5 bad

Part 3 best

what is 3 grade shading

The first half of part 3 is pretty shit though.
Part 5 adaptation also has the best production.

Colours

number of shades
VEGfags for example love to brag how it has like 7 shades or some shit
none of it really matters in the end since it's just visual flair and JoJo has a specific style that works best with strong shading with few colors

when the fuck is part 6 getting animated
or are they done making jojo anime now?

TFW PART 7 WONT BE ANIMATED WHILE TRUMP IS IN OFFICE

He'll be in office for 4 more years

Part 6 will almost certainly air next year. Part 7 may be a very long ways off though.

That still won't be enough for a SBR adaptation

This screenshot looks like ass.

THREE TERM PRESIDENT
THREE TERM PRESIDENT

Part 6 still has to be animated
even with 4 more years trump will be gone before sbr anime

pt3 faggots are delusional that's all

That's racist.

I don't understand how they managed to fuck up style from the manga. The black shadows are completely random too and makes it seem like he has weird pushed in sockets. It's not about the amount of detail but just the overall drawing is clunky.

I'm glad they took their time for part 5 productions, it's so far the best part adaptation-wise, hopefully they go the same route with part 6

>shading makes anime good
I threw up and it landed on a picture of you.

Araki is properly transitioning all of his pitch black shadows with finer lines that slowly taper into the other parts, therefore blending while also also giving form, the anime is extremely inconsistent and often has black blobs with zero transition, like in OP's pic related, all over Giorno's face.

kill yourself

what's next, contrarian about drinking water?

"Megumi Itoi, an animator that worked on Parts 1-5 of the JoJo anime. She is currently working on something JoJo related right now..."

But the part 5 anime is absolutely hideous, you could've chosen a better example than that mess.

Why the fuck is this still up?

Number of tones is a meme. It has very little to do usually with the quality of the art and more often actually more tones makes everything seem too busy and makes it not look so good. I'm also not a fan of the pitch black shadows part 5 used so much of. People praise Redline's artstyle as well despite it overusing the same pitch black shadows.

The only reason you don't appreciate it, is you haven't seen just how bad an anime can get because of bad coloring.

>overusing the same pitch black shadows
The fuck is that supposed to mean. It's literally just the artstyle.

Coloring and shading are two different things. Every anime has coloring even if it only uses 1 or 2 shading tones. Akira, the movie with visuals people like to wank all the time, generally only uses two tones, and sometimes less on faces.

The black shadows look terrible in part 5 and they look terrible in Redline.

>The black shadows look terrible in part 5 and they look terrible in Redline.
Nah, Redline has clearly skilled artists but you can tell the part 5 crew are struggling to understand what goes where.

That's the biggest problem with Akira though. As beatiful as the backgrounds are and as smootly and satisfying as the animation is, the character designs are boring and low detail it's distracting as fuck.

What about Ghost in the Shell? Another movie with visuals people hold up? This is two tones (both skin and hair), though it looks like there's a small bit of a third tone under her jacket.
