it was a simpler time
It was a simpler time
>people having nostalgia for streaming sites
Oh, god.
Also
>Shinji
FUCK that guy.
The only nostagia I have when it comes to streaming is over that one naruto only site back in 2011-2012
Wait it got taken down?
I have no idea. I even forgot the name of it. All I remember that it had a dark/black layout. But probably yeah
Man, don't remind me.
narutoget?
I want to go back
I remember preferring dub to sub back then.
Oh man, the old days of illegal Crunchyroll. That's a fucking blast from the past
Aw yeah that's the one
>When Naruto and Bleach were in filler hell at the same time
Probably Narutowire or nwanime
I haven't seen this image in years
>not using eMule, Kazaa, Limewire (or its variants) to download (what you thought was) anime at 0.5 KiB/s
>Gay Sex with HATS ON
Nice
So what the fuck was that One Piece game? "Pockie Pirates," or whatever. Why is it named that? Why are Zoro and Sanji only now "arriving"? I'd feel Zoro and Sanji would probably be part of a base release.
Before I knew what a torrent was
ONEMANGA!!!!
I use that shit to read Bleach during computer class.
>Part 1 of 3
>Part 2 was deleted, missing, or broken
God, late night anime was so mediocre back then
Are you literally me?
I remember back in the day when Green Green was a new anime that was very popular on anime forums. And when I watched it I loved it. It got me into ecchi-comedy anime (the most comfy kind of anime). I miss those good old days.
I'm kinda sad that I'm old now. I wish I could freeze time and remain in that classic era.
I would watch 1 and a half episodes of a TV show on megavideo and then I'd switch to a lower quality streaming site while waiting for the timer to finish.
this image hurts me everytime i see it
>reading naruto weekly in highschool, arguing with my best friend about naruhina vs narusaku
really was simpler times...
god damn I forgot the internet explorer ever existed. This makes me feel like I stabbed a brother
yo there also used to be a site just like that but for Bleach and one for One Piece too. Everyone in school knew about those websites back then.
Right in the nostalgia.
I gamed the system.
I calculated how many episodes I could fit into 72 minutes and when they had finished buffering I started buffering something completely different. If I timed it right, I would be able finish 3 episodes and the timer would already be reset.
But I messed up sometimes, with one episode having only partially buffered with the waiting time barely started.
So I switched to downloading.
>Green Green
Just looked it up on VNDB and apparently it was partially written by the Zero no Tsukaima author. I never knew that.
Only spics remember it
It was nice that it had a hentai OVA but other than that, Green Green was terrible.
I can't believe I'm so old that people are nostalgic for Crunchyroll now. Crappy VHS fansubs and early digisubs were in a simpler time... Crunchyroll has never existed prior to Web 2.0 screwing up the internet.
>when your nostalgia image was hosted on facebook
The time of the zillenials is now, old man.
Couldn't find any other image of it on google image search.
I am the guy that posted that post and I agree. I still have fond memories of it and of Rosario + Vampire. But I will never re-watch them for the nostalgia because I know they will be terrible. I'd rather keep them as memories.
There are other comedy anime that's good and I wouldn't mind re-watching them. Like The Daily Life of High School Boys, KonoSuba, Watamote, Prison School, Ghost Stories among others.
>limewire
That felt like the wild west of the internet. All those fucking seedy filenames, viruses, and cheese pizza.
I remember watching anime on youtube before they really started cracking down.
the earliest anime I watched on youtube was probably Rosario + Vampire
otherwise it was just an AMV paradise in the 2000s
>Green Green
>very popular on anime forums
It's like one of the worst shows ever.
how do Scanlation groups formed back then during the pre 2000s?
Myspace??
I'm really curious because obscure manga were picked up more frequent than they were today.
Yup exactly, everyone in school knew about them. I would watch with my friends
at lunch time on the class computer.
>60% of school is Asian
>80% are probably weebs
they all know Hare Hare yukai.
I vaguely recall watching the naturo chunnin exam on youtube on my shitty poverty hand-me-down PC that didn't even have speakers. I just read the subs. I was poor as shit
