>Watches his entire family brutally massacred by demons >Spends the rest of the series smiling, laughing, thinking life is beautiful and cracking up jokes
Literally who? There's not a single sane person in existence who would react like that, that kid doesn't exist.
>There's not a single sane person in existence who would react like that, that kid doesn't exist. You misuse the term "sane". Having PTSD means you have a health problem. Being able to move on from a traumatic event means that you are sane, in this regard. Sanity is your ability to cope with the world.
Luis Price
We, humans, are made to deal with tragedy. Even in America, people who has lost their families to terrible natural disasters are able to move on and have full lives. Unlike you.
Charles Stewart
Bullshit, that's not PTSD, that's avoiding it completely. This is PTSD. Trunks never forgot his good values such as being kind and polite to his friends, but he was never the happy innocent kid he was before the tragedy happened.
Of what use would Tanjiro be to Nezuko or the Demon Slayer corps if he didn't bury his trauma deep inside and instead acted like a mopey do-nothing bitch. The reason he behaves the way he does is because Nezuko and his friends he has in the Demon Corps have made him understand that there are still things in his life worth fighting for, and that puts a smile on his face.
Asher Ward
Yea, it's an anime
Kevin Brown
>that's not PTSD, that's avoiding it completely. You completely missed my point.
Logan Young
He's pretty devastated and serious for the first few episodes. Humor around him is more at his own expense. The rest of the series takes place two years after the murder of his family. Most people are able to maintain their sense of humor and not be so serious all the time a week or two after tragedy.
Trunks' entire life was fear, tragedy, or preparation for the next fight. Tanjirou had a loving, peaceful home life. His strength was always his kindness and optimism, it was enough to keep his sister from going full rabid demon. So why the fuck would that change when it had allowed him to overcome the impossible? Part of what makes Yaiba work is that Tanjirou is always a believable character given the information the audience knows about him. He is the simplest shit in the world to understand.
Also yes you missed the other user's point entirely anyway.
Lucas Stewart
A badly-written one
Benjamin Jones
The poorest people always laugh the hardest.
Camden Roberts
>trauma >PTSD You guys are so gay
Parker Cox
He doesn't have ptsd. That's the point. He was able to deal with it by focusing on becoming a Demon Hunter.
Xavier Long
Aka badly-written character with no character development
Connor Anderson
>>Watches his entire family brutally massacred by demons no, he didnt watched it his family was already dead when he got back so he didnt had PTSD because he didnt lived that horrible experience he was traumatized for his loss tho but instead of becoming an annoying emo he decided to put his whole mind and purpose on helping his little sister and after some years passed he already moved on
Luis Bell
Read the infinity train arc again. unless you are an anime only then kys.
Brody Sullivan
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOW CAN A CHARACTER MANAGE TO A GENUINELY GOOD AND KIND AND CARING PERSON? BAAAAAAAAAAAW I WANT HIM TO BE AN EDGELORD WHO HATES EVERYONE AND EVERYONE JUST LIKE ME
Jordan Wilson
You don't have to be a mopey do nothing to look at least a little concerned about that life changing tragedy that occured months ago.
Nathaniel Price
There are people who have fought in wars, been raped, lost someone close, etc. who still manage to have a sense of humor and enjoy life for what it is. Not everyone reacts to adversity the same way.
Robert Edwards
what do you mean? he basically goes crazy whenever he sees Muzan people with PTSD can be completely normal until their emotions are triggered
Daniel Morales
Literally blind
Luis Walker
This. Plus he was a fucking child
Lucas Price
Did you forget that it's been like two years and that he's forcing himself to be a pillar of support for his only remaining family so he can't be moping around?
Julian Martin
Based
Connor Diaz
In case you slept through the timeskip, that was years ago.
Nathan Gray
The guy who draws him is mentally fourteen
Carson Sullivan
I don't understand the appeal of this manga, nor I understand why it got so popular
Christian Nelson
>He thinks everyone is a subarufag He has a high level of emotional maturity and won't let his bad times get in the way of his mission.
Owen Robinson
Big assumption that him being happy go lucky means he's sane and not an overall symptom of repression and severe psychosis
Xavier Nguyen
Nezuko is his mental anchor. It’s pretty fucking blatant.
Joshua Smith
So Trunks is a subarufag now, never knew.
Austin Howard
at what point did you fall under the impression he was sane?
cute guys, cute girls, comedy, and lots of violence.
Wyatt Ramirez
The comedy is shit tho, like most shounen
Carter Scott
The ending of this made it go from an 8/10 to a 6/10 for me. It was kind of meh. Upper moon 1 fight was peak and muzan's inflatable arm tube man gimmick got old fast. Not one blood demon arc. Not one! How did wani fuck up this much?
I wish nezuko fought ONE last time in the battle against muzan.
Anthony Bennett
Did you miss the scene where he was willing to beg for his sister's life and was literally homeless and living in a cage? Also, Tanjiro copes with things by being reliable to other people. He constantly tells himself he's the big brother, so he has to be strong for the sake of those around him, so it's very probable he bottles up his feelings to not bother anyone. Did you even watch the show?
Bentley Cruz
Well you can't really expect much. It was written by a woman
Chase Young
Realest post itt
Benjamin Perry
>dad dies >take on the father role for your family >financially provide for them by working sometimes until sundown >develop a caring and fatherly personality caring for your siblings as you try to raise them in his place It makes sense in the context. His nickname in the corpse is even "Mommy" pic related
Not everybody acts like white people when tragedy hits. Humanity have been dealing with tragedies since time immortal. it's encoded in our genes to not be disabled because of tragedy. otherwise the human race would've been extinct a long time ago.
Brody Turner
Also he very quickly develops friendships with others who help support him. There are many times in the story where Tanjiro breaks down and he has people to be there for him. Like a ton of people
Jayden Martin
Wasn't there a long training period after his family died? Should he have mourned for his parents forever?
Carson Diaz
A 14 year old wrote this post.
Evan Ramirez
took him like a year to get through training yeah
Wyatt Johnson
