I don't think it's just people hate 7 quirks. imo story arcs at the end of Yakuza till the beginning of the current arc are kinda a bit underwhelming most of the time. they had okay moments but overall just underwhelming. was the anime airing? if not the even less hype.

Joint training had terrible pacing and it was filler tier until the final match.
MVA had good quality art but the Shigaraki parts were meh story wise.
Now things are finally picking up.

maybe but still a huge drop for first week sales. what's the last chapter of vol. 22? maybe people weren't that excited like they will eventually buy it at some point but not in the first week kind of feeling.
