And if you're asking "That makes no sense. The Digimon were there in the epilogue. And Oikawa had a Digimon just before he died", we don't know. We just have to assume it's resolved offscreen.

Nakama power brings all the 01 crew back to beat his ass thus leading to the canon 02 epilogue.

The real villains in 02/Tri/Kizuna were actually Gennai/Homeostasis. Ken, Maki, and Menoa wouldn't have turned evil if the powers that be didn't sit on their ass and let these kids grow corrupt.

Kind of why I hate the title Last Evolution. Makes it feel too much like this is the final movie when there’s still plot threads left unresolved.

Kizuna was just average at best. Maybe it only seems god because I was actually able to finish it unlike tri, but it was nothing special. Taichi has now become my least favorite character because his angst feels so manufactured. The villains have been pretty lame so far and the stakes never feel high because Koushiro just asspulls a solution and seems to know everything. At least in Ad/02 he had to work for things

I miss that imp. None of the evil Digimon in the reboot have any personality so far. They're all just mindless monsters. The only one with a real character was Ogremon, but then he died.

I know. He has more resources than any other person his age. Taichi shouldn't be the aimless young adult looking for meaning in his life. He found that meaning when he was 11. This kid saved the world a whole bunch of times and he liked doing it, but now that means jackshit? Koushiro the self-made millionaire can't give him some cash so he can play hero all day?

The thing about Taichi's sense of aimlessness is if he was feeling that confused on his future, why didn't he fall back on Digimon-related matters? Even without Agumon, he could use his experience to mentor new Chosen Children or teach people about Digimon.
