- Giant Robo: The Animation (The Day the Earth Stood Still) [Heavy on action and drama]
- Big O [Drama, and gets headier towards the end, but the bits of action that are there are all 10/10]
- Gundam G [cheesy greatness with likeable characters and a lot of hype, very entertaining]
- Gaogaigar [same as^]
- Tetsujin 28-go (2004) [HEAVY on drama, except to tear up a few times watching it, so it's good contrast to the above 2]
- Gunbuster [drama and action, short and sweet]
Start yourself off with any of these and see how you like the genre.
