Which is your favourite magic system? Nen or the weapons from Soul Eater for me
Magic system
Both pretty good concepts, they tickle my autism. If your counting all power systems though I'd have to go with BnHA Quirks, but only because I was an X-Men fag when I was little
Another good question, for those with terminal autism:
Have you imagined what your powers would be in whatever systems? Like /tg/ style?
Nen, easily.
No magic system has ever gotten close to stands
Stands are cool, but it makes me sad that they kinda dropped hamon
At least it came back in the form of the Spin
I'm a sucker for Bleach's bankais.
I love when characters have a power(or transformation in this case) that is directly related to their personality and philosophy. A good example for this is Shunsui's bankai that reflects his depression and heavy burdens from important people in his life passing on and entrusting their precious possessions to him.
BAN-KAI
same as last thread
tie between trion and good guy punch harder
Stands.
Hamon seemed to be too nebulous to be an effective system. Stands have basic guidelines, but are extremely versatile.
Nothing quite beats magecraft
Nen- I like being able to make your own ability but it feels man made an unnatural because of how specific everything in it is. Also is retardedly easy to get OP using nen.
Cursed Energy- Is like a better version of nen but we dont know everything about it yet. How do cursed techniques get passed on? How are Cursed techniques created? Why are they only hereditary?
Stands- I like that they're based off of the users personality and such but sometimes it feels like some people have stands with abilities just to push forward the plot instead of it being based around them. Also its possible to get just a retarded stand that does nothing.
Quirks- I like being able to mix quirks and them get stronger each generation. Like Shotos half and half.
Haki- I like haki because its simple yet works. Unfornalty with Devil fruits it sucks and ruins one pieces fight since now its just a "whos haki is stronger?" Not to mention to even fight luffy you need conquerors.
What is Stands?
Jojo's
Evangelion’s magic system is pretty good
Index's Idol Theory is really good.
They're basically just Personas.
Manifestations of a person's psyche, each with their own unique properties and abilities.
there is literaly no(zero) good implemented magic systems in any manga.
you have to go to western media for that OP
BASED kubochads
Yes, but too little explored
We basically only know that AT fields can block stuff, make you fly or be broken through by other AT fields
Only the ones that don't make any sense like early Jojo Stands. Introducing a complex system with many rules sets up an expectation of formulaic, logical fights, which will never be a good idea from a spectacle point of view.
The sword personification plus kido in bleach was great, too bad the kido part especially was so underdeveloped.
Made for some truely kino moments, especially in the anime
>blocks your path
Holy fuck
>Persona 4 is about a group of teenagers hunting down a serial killer in a small town in japan
>Persona 5 is about a ragtag group of benevolent criminals
>YOSUKE
Stands from Jojo, Nen from HxH and Magic from Black Clover.
>tarot faggotry
The Persona series was known to be heavily inspired by JoJo, so...
cringe catposter
who also happens to like capeheroshit like a real fucking retard
is that naruto or any other shounen with elements based magic system?
Same I think, alchemy from fmab is pretty cool too.
I also like one piece, not for the devil fruits but for the fact that there is no limit to how strong a human can be, which is kinda like a magic system by itself
I just need very fast fly so I can go anywhere and ditch the airports. No teleportation because the whole idea of it is creepy as fuck
Short distance teleports
Walking 2km to shop is alright but standing up to go to the kitchen is too much work
